Readers' theater has many benefits to struggling readers. The evidence in the literature shows that readers theater helps to improve reading comprehension and fluency. There is a gap in the research and my own knowledge about the affects of readers' theater on student self-efficacy for reading. I have many struggling readings in my fourth grade class. If I implement a readers' theater intervention in my fourth grade class, I believe the students' self-efficacy for reading will increase.
