         <description><![CDATA[<div>Malcom Little or el-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz in muslim was an African American leader in the civil rights movement. He held a very important  role in the Nation of Islam group which was the group that formed his beliefs. He also greatly preached these teachings which thousands of Americans believes in also during the civil rights movement. He was born in 1925, in Omaha, Nebraska. He died in New York city in 1965.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Malcolm X was very young when he entered a foster home due to his father being allegedly killed by a white supremacist. He was considered a good student but dropped out after the 8th grade and  started to become a drug dealer. In prison is where he first head of the teaching that would later on greatly inspire him. These were the teachings of Elijah Muhammad, who was the head of the lost-found nation of Islam, which he taught to his followers that white people were the devil. He would go on to become a minister at a mosque in Harlem where he gained great success. The Nation of Islam grew from 400 members to 40,000 members by 1960. He became close friends with Muhammad Ali who supported his way of thinking which spread his ideas evermore. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Elijah Muhammad was a religious leader who was the leader of the Nation of Islam from 1934 until he died in 1975. He is considered Malcolm X mentor and also Muhammad Ali's mentor. He taught greatly against white supremacy, and gained much popularity with his teaching that white people were the devil.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Muhammad Ali was one of the greatest boxers in the history of the sport if not the greatest. His  outstanding career of 56-5, 37 of which were KO, show just how good he was. The great athlete had a huge following making him a very prominent figure of his time. He was also a great activist for civil rights. He believed and was inspired by Malcolm X a leader of the nation of islam. Ali had gone to some Nation of Islam meetings in 1961 but did not meet Malcolm X until 1962, Who soon became his spiritual and political mentor. Having Muhammad Ali on his side incurred many other African Americans to fight for equallity.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Malcolm X is most notable associated with The Nation of Islam group. This is an African American political and religious group founded in Detroit, Michigan on July 4, 1930. It was founded by  Wallace D. Fard Muhammad. It was started with the goals are to improve the African American standard of living. Its leader that took over in 1934 Elijah Muhammad, was the reason Malcolm X joined the group. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1952 - In 1952 Malcolm Little was released from prison and went to visit Elijah Muhammad is Detroit, Michigan. He joined the Nation of Islam which primary formed his beliefs of civil rights. Malcolm Little also changes his last name to X. He did this to take out what he said was the white slave master name of "Little".<br>1960 - In 1960 Malcolm became the minister of Temple No. 7 in Harlem and Temple No. 11 in Boston, while he also founded multiple new temples in Hartford and Philadelphia. He also established a newspaper, called Muhammad Speaks, which further promoted his word.<br>1963 - Malcolm is suspended from the Nation of Islam after making hateful remarks towards President Kennedy's assassination. His comments showed that he had become very delusional and had become severely racist.<br>1964 - Malcolm finally travels to Africa where he finds the true Islam. This radically changes his ideals as he now preaches peace for all including whites. <br>1964 - In later 1964 he Malcolm dreamed of a new nation and established he Organization for Afro-American Unity.<br>1965 - While giving a speech Malcolm was assassinated. Over 20,000 people attended his funeral. Malcolm was very praised for his hard work towards equality, and is regarded as a very influential political figure of the 1900's.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

Her response would change Malcolm's forever as she said he couldn't because of the color of his skin.</div>]]></description>

The Voting Rights Act took place in 1965 which was the year that Malcolm died but in the years leading up to that Malcolm was at the hight of his power giving many speaches to all people across the country inspiring them to fight for their rights.</div>]]></description>
