As part of any learning developing critical reflection skills by means of writing a personal reflective account of learning will help you to understand better your strengths and weaknesses and build a plan for continuous learning and development. Your reflection could address areas of knowledge and practical skills, which were most significant for you and ways in which you can further develop them with a plan. Please try to be honest and critical in your personal reflection of learning focusing on yourself. You can attach examples/evidence of your learning in this Padlet by means of photographs, videos, links and many more. Enjoy reflecting!

Your reflection: This week was a challenge
Description: My day job very much got in the way of my school work. Normally, I would be allowed to work on course work at my office (as it is considered Professional Development) but this week we were under staffed and I had to take on some of that responsibility. The other thing was that I was mentally exhausted by the end of the day and it was harder to stay focused and especially with the readings, I had to go over them a couple of times.
Feelings:
Overwhelmed and worried
Evaluation:
Not good.
Analysis:
Restructuring my schedule will likely have to be something that I do going forward to accommodate for something like this happening. This way, I won't be so overwhelmed if it does and I can get ahead if it doesn't.
Conclusion:
Restructure my schedule so that I can give myself more time to do things.
Action Plan:
One thing that I just discovered is that my tired brain is better at listening than reading. I've opted to use Natural Text to Speech to help when I get overwhelmed with the notes.

In addition to literature on reflection you may have perhaps been given by your own tutor, aim to explore additional resources you find on the value of reflection not only for learning but also for professional development. Think about how are you going to use some of the skills you are developing now in your later professional life?

And of course remember to keep on recording your learning this week!

It’s now week seven. Time flies for sure! This week aim to include some novel evidence about your learning. It could be a photograph, a video or a voice recording. Add some information on something you have achieved so far and you are very proud of it. Focus on the positives. This will give you more confidence that you are doing well. Add this achievement to your CV. You may want to add areas of further development too but focus on the success this week.

In week 8, go back to all the weeks and look for any fears or uncertainties or insecurities you noted down. Are you feeling more confident now in relation to them or some of them? This week aim to talk to a friend or a classmate about one of these fears, uncertainties, or insecurities. What do they do when they find themselves in a similar situation? What strategies, tactics and tips do they have for you? Note them down.

What fears, uncertainties or insecurities did you discuss with others? My fear of being behind on the ISU course. It takes up significantly more of my time than the other courses do. It’s all important information but it’s a lot.
Your reflection:
Description: Overall it was good but the ISU course is starting to get to me and how much work is involved and all of the readings is taking up more time.
Feelings: Overwhelmed, frustrated and underperforming.
Evaluation: It’s wavering on the side of being bad because if I can’t do it then, what’s the point. It’s frustrating because I know how to do it.
Analysis: It is roughly the middle point so it is going to get harder and the work is becoming due so that’s getting scary. I don’t want to know my marks for any of this.
Conclusion: I’m becoming the most confident imposter.
Action Plan: Keep working at it.

In week 9, you have already developed a lot of learning and many different skills. You are already gaining the benefits of your learning. However, once we think that we are good at something we may forget about the importance of continuing learning. So this week, aim to focus more on trying new strategies and speak to others, seek feedback and ideas on how the areas you have developed could be approached differently. Aim to share and exchange ideas! A good starting point is a TED Talk I shared earlier on how to get better at the things you care about by Eduarto Briceno.
