What was it like for us in Level 2?

Faith - For me, the mixture of online and in-person learning made second year a whole lot easier on my mental health. I got to see my friends more, interact with new people on my course and get a taste of how final year would end up being.

Megan- In my opinion, level 2 was a lot better than level 1 because of the mixture of online and in person learning. It was nice to be able to meet students on the course as well as the lecturers and finally feel like I was part of the university.

Beth - I definitely enjoyed the fact that a lot more of the course was in person, I felt as though I was able to get a proper uni experience. The exams were a big jump for me, and I was very anxious going from MCQs in first year to timed essays at level 2, but it wasn't as bad as I expected.

Faith - so far so good, meeting lecturers has been really heartwarming and fun, I've felt like a fresher but keeping up in lectures is easier than I expected and so far I am managing really well. Also first time having to balance a job and uni so very new experience but again not overwhelming for the first week.

Beth - I've not had the best start to my final year, with lots of personal issues all seeming to have cropped up in the last month or so, however I am trying to forget about these things by throwing myself into my university work and my job at the arena, which is proving to be a good distraction. My accommodation is a lot nicer this year too, so I am in a better environment than last year.

Megan- The first week has been really interesting because being on campus so often is very strange but I'm suprised how well I've coped with it. It's been really nice to interact with other people on the course and I'm happy with how well I'm keeping up with the work load so far. I was really nervous about the dissertation project because of how much there is to complete in such a short time period; however, after the first meeting I feel a lot more relaxed about it.

Faith - for me personally, the gap from Level 2 to this year has felt a lot wider because of the difference in teaching. For me I plan on doing some refreshers on academic skills such as literature searching, focusing on my project and on Careers/Employability talks as those are my major concerns.

Beth - I am a little worried about the dissertation, as I feel like my whole time at uni has been leading towards this yet feel so unprepared, as the idea of it is quite intimidating. I am also anxious about life after I finish uni this year, I really struggled over the summer with the lack of structure or purpose, and so I am hoping I can find a job fairly quickly after university.

Megan- My main concerns are balancing my module workload with my dissertation workload, what to do after university and what will be my future career? I'm going to create timetables and make sure I put in the same amount of effort in every piece of work I do. I'm also going to attend the careers talks and try get an idea of what I would like to do but I would like some advice and guidance about what the best path for me is.

One contentious point of the definition could be the 'realization' or self-awareness of abilities. It could be possible for an individual to understand their abilities and understand that they are *able to* cope with stresses etc., and still doubt themselves and have poor well-being as a result.

"Cope with normal stresses of life": Who defines what "normal stresses of life" are? Also, students have a lot of stresses that are unique to student life which the definition may not have taken into account.

Eudaimonic and cognitive, emotional and behavioral

While it does consider all types of well-being, it's easy to misunderstand as it isn't extremely specific to the university experience it feels very general. Could instead ask 'I feel calm and relaxed about my workload' or 'I have felt supported by my peers'.
The measure isn't very specific for the lives of students. In particular for the social elements of wellbeing. They could mention an item that mentions having a sense of belonging or being involved in student activities etc.

They are very useful tips generally, however over the past couple of years we've been at uni it's been hard to navigate some of them. 'Connecting with other people' has been difficult for commuting and on-campus students, societies weren't being as active, we hadn't been meeting with people on our course etc. Same with being physically active and giving to others.
Learning new skills has been helpful both online and in-person with university offering refresher courses.

Paying attention to the present moment would be something that I would change because it is difficult to focus on the present moment when there are so many things that need to be done like assignment deadlines, exams, future employment etc. So I think that time needs to be spent planning for the future so that everything doesn't pile up and make you stress out when these things come.

Faith - refreshers courses, engaging more with my societies and people on my course, and hopefully attending more psychology socials to help with that. Managing my workload by carefully planning my weeks/days. Not leaving work till the last minute and taking breaks whenever I'm starting to feel burnt out.

Beth - Reaching out for help whenever I need it, whether that be about university or life in general, from staff, peers and my family. I will try and do work in small regular chunks and ensure that I leave time to relax and socialise (which I also need to make more of an effort to do).

Megan- I'm going to set realistic deadlines for myself so that I don't stress out when I haven't done everything I want to do in one day. I'm also going to try and engage with people on my course and not be afraid to just have a chat with people.
