    Most of what we know of pre-colonial literature deals with oral traditions. These are in the form of epic poems, oral geneaologies, rhymes, riddles, wise sayings, folk tales, etc. The themes of these works was often spiritual or cosmological, or they were moral tales. It can be justified using the remain relics of the past and their works and crafts.
