Utilizing district approved apps such as Remind to connect with families. Teachers can send quick text reminders, which they have to sign up for. I'm unsure of translations, which email or paper format to communicate should be utilized.

MT does a weekly newsletter but it's pretty bare-bones (grade 4). As a parent I receive very detailed weekly newsletters (kinder), and I read them every week.

I really loved the additional information we got from the supplemental interview questions I asked during a couple of conferences in the fall. I still think about what those parents said about their goals for their students. I wish I had that kind of insight on all of my students.

Starting the year with building the parent-teacher relationship and communicating student success. Further into the year, once the trust and relationship is built, then starting to have more difficult conversations (when needed) but continuing to highlight student's achievements via various forms of communication with parents.

I am very pleased with the reception of the positive postcards, I hope to implement these as well as a weekly newsletter to families in my classroom. I'm also open to the idea of random in-person meetings just to check in on families as the year progresses.
