"If someone had told me. as little as two years ago, that I'd own and operate a bed-and-breakfast in this tiny berg of a town called Cedar Cove, I would have laughed my head off." I find it very intriguing that Debbie Macomber decides to incorporate her series Cedar Cove into another one of her series called Rose Harbor, she intertwines her books in a way. All of them are connected and there is always some element of another one of her books somewhere throughout each one.

I predict that Rikki tikki will win because they have a reputation of winning the battle between the mongoose and the cobra. His mother also always was a very good hunter. I think this because he is a clever little mongoose and he will be able to trick the snakes. He is a playful character and he will use that to his advantage and win the battle between them.

Love Letters-May 10th, 2017(Page 98)
" I had Mark to thank for it. He was the one who'd turned up the earth for me. It'd been no small task, especially with his legs in a cast. It'd taken several days and patience on both our parts." It would be hard to plant a garden when you have a broken leg. Why wouldn't you wait until you were off of your crutches? I would just say that I would have to wait to do it or tell the person to hire someone else.

Nag and Nagaina are planning to have Nag go into the house and bite the dad while he is sleeping, then there will be no more people in the house so there won't be a need for mongooses to be in the garden. They want to have the mongooses gone so that they will be king and queen of the garden and for their babies to have a nice quiet environment to live in. I predict that Rikki tikki will wait just until Nag is getting ready to attack the dad, then he will start to attack Nag back because he likes the people that he's living with. I think that he will want to settle this once and for all. I think this because of what happened earlier with Nagaina and how it ended, he will want to settle the score and protect his people.

I feel as though Rikki tikki will crush the eggs, because he said that he wasn't going to kill the eggs necessarily, but he does want to harm them. If there were 25 little cobras all over the garden, then that would mean a lot of baby cobras to have to look out for. I think that he will have a plan to crush them so that there won't be the threat of the baby cobras.

Love Letters- May 11th, 2017 (Page 167)
"I'd never explored the attic. When I purchased the inn from the Frelingers, they'd mentioned that they'd stored a number of small pieces of furniture and other items there. I wanted to take an inventory in case I decided to have a garage sale. I might put the items I didn't need on consignment, too. Of course, it depended on what was stashed up there." This reminds me of when we were at my grandparents house and they were cleaning out there house. They had to take inventory, and decide what they wanted and what they were going to give away to those who need it.

"I suspected it earlier, but now I knew the truth. Mark was running from his past. It seemed the healing powers of the inn weren't strong enough to heal the man who had become my closest friend." I find this an interesting way to end a book because of how they leave off. I think as though they could have had a different meaning for different people. There were different ways to interpret it, I thought it meant that she had known all along but just didn't want to actually admit that she knew he was running away. Now she might not even ever get to talk to him again because he said that he was going to go and run away after he was done with her gazebo.

"Life is filled with the unexpected. I know that sounds rather dramatic-sort of like: It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Trust me, I've been through both, but then I suspect everyone who breathes in oxygen has experienced this." I found this as an interesting way to start a new book, I thought that it was sort of like a person having a conversation with another person. Or even a person writing in their diary, it sort of seems like personal thoughts that aren't wanted to be shared with everybody.

"It was a three-story, gleaming white house that looked to have been built in the 1920s or 1930s, with a large wraparound porch. Several wicker chairs and a love seat had been set on the wide deck, along with pots of red flowers." I can really imagine and picture this in my mind, I can see every detail that is impeccably described. People could be sitting in the wicker chairs talking or having a cup of tea with a good book while on vacation. It was a very vivid description of the story and helped the reader picture the setting well.
