Starting with a group ice breaker has been working wonderfully for me.
Students like having videos bc they can re watch if they don't understand the first time around.
I agree, there is a lot that students are trying to manage...it would be good to spread out a lesson over days and not one each day.

Students can help each other without relying on one person in the room. In my computer science class, students used a backchannel to ask questions related to coding, debugging, etc. and it worked really well.
