The author of the Declaration of Rights is George Mason. It was created to talk about Virginia's inalienable rights and how they cannot be violated by government. In the Constitution, some of the things said were taken from this document. Some things constitution talks about our certain inalienable rights (life and liberty), the power vested in and derived from people (democracy), separation of powers, representative government, and freedom of press. These things were taken from the Virginia Declaration of Rights. I believe this impacted the Bill of Rights.

The Virginia Declaration of Rights was written by George Mason, and was written to allow the settlers certain rights. It affected the Constitution by adding certain ideas. Those ideas were that all men are born equal and have certain rights, all power is vested in the people, no man is entitled to separate rights (rule of law), the legislative and executive branch should be seperate from the judicial branch, and that cruel or unusual punishment is not allowed. This has a big impact on the Bill of Rights.

The Virginia Declaration of Rights was written by George Mason. This document was written to declare the inalienable rights of the people of Virginia. One principle from this document that is from the Constitution is that elections of members to serve as representatives must be free, and that all voters have the right of suffrage meaning everyone should be able to vote and that they cannot be deprived of property to vote. Another point is that the legislative and executive powers of the state must be separate and distinct from the judicial branch to separate powers. One other principle that is found in the Constitution is that all men are equal, free, and independent and have some inherited rights that they cannot be deprived of. Another principle is that the power is derived from the people. The last point that is also found in the Constitution is that all power of suspending or excluding laws by any authority without he consent of the representatives of the people goes against their rights and should not be done. This impacts the Bill of Rights more than any other part of the Constitution.
