One of my staff members has taken upon herself to not only be in charge of celebrating bdays but holidays as well. So - we celebrate Tu B'Shvat by eating fresh fruit and nuts; Apples and honey for Rosh Hashana; each writes a bday greeting to a different member on staff; we always celebrate the end-of-the-year by going out together.

When we have meetings we generally bring food. Our meetings are usually held, when we have them , at the end of a school day so most of us are in need of sustenance. We try to bring something sweet as well for a special pick me up.

We begin the staff meeting by thanking the teachers for coming and asking them "how was your day?" Then we have something to eat (planned a head - breakfast or lunch) depending on when the meeting is held. We sometimes invite the principal or other teachers at school who always help the English staff in different activities to join us for breakfast.
this gives us a boost of energy especially when there are many topics to be discussed.
