• In Simple Terms: When you type a query, it looks at billions of active websites and gives you an organized list of links so you can click through and read the source material yourself.

ChatGPT

• The Core Role: The Creator. It is an interactive application built using a specific type of AI (Large Language Models) that generates human-like text.

• In Simple Terms: Instead of giving you a list of websites to look at, it analyzes its training data to write a custom, direct answer, summary, or piece of code right in the chat.
