Never will, but it gets me in trouble, still.

Back in Preschool, 

Long ago,

I was a bit… slow.

We had to color, which was a curse

But it was about to get much worse.

My hands were achy, fingers numb,

The teacher just thought I was dumb.

“Why aren’t you coloring?”

“Woman, I’m trying!”

And I was placed in a play kitchen, crying.

A play kitchen? Are you insane?

DO NOT MOCK THE KITCHEN OF SHAME

I sat there still, numb with fear,

Drowning my sorrows in plastic beer.

She didn’t know, nor did I,

That I was in fact, color-blind.

Had no worries just didn’t care

He met a girl he really liked

They talked for hours threw the night

She had a guy, and that didn’t matter because the boy was too shy

So whenever they talked all he could say was “hi” 

Then one day he heard that they had split 

The boy thought “ok this is it”

The next time he saw her he started to say “maybe we could”

And before he finished she said “we should”
