         <title>Physical Layout Considerations</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The newly designed library learning commons will be flexible in order to provide multiple learning opportunities. The library will be able to accommodate multiple educational learning sessions simultaneously. With breakout rooms, the LLC can support collaboratively learning without impacting other learning in the space.&nbsp;<br><br>Having the class "presentation" or teaching/ instructional area relocated from the middle of the library to an adjacent wall, will open more possibilities for additional differentiated learning experiences. &nbsp;<br><br>The library needs to be accessible for our students while offering other educational opportunities.  <br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Communication Needs </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The TL's role is to support teachers best practice, be a leader in technology and knowledgeable about BC's Curriculum. Communicating with students, staff and parents is an ongoing learning experience. I currently use Sway to send out monthly newsletters that communicate our focus for the month, new educational resources, collaboration lessons w/ learning intentions, grade and specific curriculum.&nbsp;<br><br>Teacher/Admin Communication: Mini Library TED Ed session. Speaking or facilitating a mini learning session at each staff meeting has been effective. 5 mins. Staff and I engage in a quick discussion about how the ideas might fit into their curriculum/ classroom learning and ask questions of me.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Design Challenge Statement </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>The existing library “teaching space” with pull down screen &amp; projector sits in the middle of the library. This means we often close the library to other classes and turn away students who need our services/ resources when a lesson is happening. It limits the what opportunities we can provide to teachers and students.&nbsp;<br><br>We want to move towards have a space that fosters multiple learning opportunities in the same space. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This image comes closest to what I can imagine for incorporating a full class teaching area into our library. I would like it to be part of and not separate from the library. Most classes have 25+ students that require a space that can comfortably seat the size and quantity of these students.&nbsp;<br><br>I envision sliding glass doors that can be closed to allow for teachers to use the space in the library without impacts the other learning. </div>]]></description>
