His theory studied how children learn throughout their childhood and came up with the whole idea of children "soaking thing in like sponges" this effects classrooms today by having us start children off in school way earlier in their childhood then they would have a long time ago, and basing a classroom setting fit for younger children's mental growth.

The impact this has on today education is so great. before education wasn't really a priority, children wouldn't start school until the were 12 and even then some of them would just work and keep their education minimal. Piaget theory and the study of a child development is what put children in school at a younger age changing the school system and the thought of child development as a whole, placing children in an environment to learn while their brains soak the information up faster and more effectively.
