         <description><![CDATA[<div>Title: Plop plop, fizz fizz, oh what a science it is.<br><br>Question: If I put hotter water in the beaker will the alka-seltzer dissolve faster or slower?<br><br>Background: I know that the water temperature will change the rate of the dissolving alka seltzer. I also know that if the water gets colder it will dissolve slower than the hot water. The hotter the temperature gets the faster it dissolves because it will break down the matter a lot faster. The colder the water gets the slower it will dissolve because the chemical reaction makes it dissolve slower.<br><br>Hypothesis: I think that if I put the Alka-Seltzer in a beaker filled with hot water the Alka-seltzer will take less time to dissolve than the beaker filled with cold water because the how water breaks down the alka-seltzers matter a lot faster.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>To begin I started by filling the beaker with the right temperature for the experiment. Next I put the the alka-seltzer in the beaker timing the result. The higher the water temperature got the faster it dissolved the alka-seltzer. In my hypothesis I said that the hotter the water got the faster the alka-seltzer would dissolve. My statement was proven correct. There was only a few things that went wrong. The most frequent was that the stopwatch wouldn't always work. I have done this experiment many times and did not really learn anything new, however I witnessed that a sudden change of water temperature will completely shatter a beaker. I dont think there is anything this experiment applies to in the real world.</div>]]></description>
