Demographic: When population expands, it means that there is more of a demand for goods and the services that are provided. This then also means that there are more people with jobs, as businesses end up need more people for work.

For Tesco this means they have more business as there will be more customers to buy the products from the business and if there is more products being sold the more workers they will need to keep up with the demand that there now is for the businesses goods and services.

Attitudes to work influence the important relationship between a business and its employees. In recent years, other aspects include the care with which employees do their work, their attitude to customers and their relationship with the employer. This effects Tesco because Tesco have to obey job description guide lines. This means that workers have the right to work in their given department and in different teams to complete the task given to them.
Group B.

Day by day the population is increasing, this means more people that would be spending money in stores.
According to recent estimates, the number of people over 60 could rise by 40 per cent in the next 30 years.
when it comes to Tesco this can be good because it means they will be producing more products because their would be more people buying them.
Not only that but a way they would get more people to buy their products they would have to do more advertising, for example, they would have to advertise more on TV, radio etc.
Different people also have different spending habits and patters patterns to the young. For example, there may be greater demand for stair lifts, anti-ageing creams, Botox injections and world cruises. New businesses will spring up to cater for the needs of the elderly and e-commerce will be a particularly useful vehicle for selling directly into the homes of people in this group. There will be a profound impact for the pharmaceutical and health industries, which will need to expand to meet the needs of the ageing population.
Structural changes are those changes made to the organisation's structure that might stem from internal or external factors and typically affect how the company is run. Strategic change involves making changes to the overall goals, purpose, strategy or mission of an organisation.
for example, Tesco could open up a Botox counter for older people, because they will have more money to spend.
Group A
M and M

EDUCATION
The level of education of the work force is important. most modern jobs require qualifications. In most jobs, employees are required to have good information on technology, maths and English.
When the Labour government were in power, they set a target for 50% of the population to attend university and gain a university level award.
Business people can suggest the new types of skills that they are looking for to fit into the world of work today. For example, apprenticeship awards involve learners working with an employer and a local educational institution to develop the knowledge and skills required to make better contribution at work. it might help them develop the skills they need

Some countries are made up of people belonging largely to the same or similar religious groups. Others, like Britain, consist of many different religious groups. Each religious group has its own beliefs and values. These beliefs and values affect the types of goods that customers purchase and use, and behaviours in the workplace. For example, the Muslim religion requires believers to fast during daylight hours at a certain time of the year and to pray at given hours of the day. It is essential that employers are familiar with these religious requirements so that they can make appropriate allowances. They need to apply similar sensitivities to products and materials that people of different religions may touch and handle, and days of the week on which they can work. For example, some Christians will not work on Sundays. Tesco hires many people because it is a huge company and a lot of people from different backgrounds are apply for jobs in Tesco. This means that Tesco have to treat everyone fairly to show a good example to their customers who also have different backgrounds and beliefs. For example, Tesco appeal to all religions by selling halal foods. This relates to employees as they may share the same beliefs.
Group B

Many single people are high income earners with high disposable incomes.

Attitudes to Male and Female roles

Male and female roles in society have been shifting over the last fifty years. This is witnessed by the facts that today 50 per cent of the working population is female and that over half of new entrants to careers in medicine, the law and some other professions are females. The only level where substantial change has yet to occur is at director level within British businesses, where the majority of directors tend to be older males. Changing gender roles have also had an impact on consumption patterns. For example, the rapid rise in the ‘ready meals’ market is partly a response to families where both parents work and there are growing numbers of ‘cash rich, time poor’ individuals. Increasingly, people are also putting off having a family, creating new markets for a range of consumer goods and services such as fitness clubs and gyms and a range of entertainment equipment.

This will effect Tesco because male and female workers are able to apply for a job in this work place. This means that they have to treat both males and female equally (Gender pay gap).
Group B

Business ethics are the values and principles held by those that run businesses. Ethics help to shape the actions of a business and the decisions it makes. Ethical principles should go beyond legal requirements.
Key ethical issues include:
• Fair trade – offering fair prices to suppliers, often in poorer countries. For example, do the prices they get for their products enable them to send their children to school, and to feed and clothe them?
• Environment – using resources well and minimising waste. There is strong pressure on businesses to reduce their carbon footprint
• Not misleading customers or cheating them in any way
• providing customers with what is good and useful to them, rather than what is harmful.
The term corporate social responsibility (CSR) describes a thoughtful approach by business to the society in which it operates. Modern businesses develop policies and carry out actions that are responsible. For example, the CSR policy of Manchester United includes:
• working with other institutions to ensure that there is no room for racism in football
• working with local communities to provide education and training facilities using the Old
Trafford Football ground training rooms
• working with local schools to develop football training
• cleaning up around the football ground immediately after home matches are completed
• making sure that away supporters are stewarded to and from games.
Ethics is a psychology judgement which helps people decide what is right and wrong. Tesco have to obey this because they want to make profit (profit maximization) if they do not obey this Tesco will loose customers. As a result sales will decrease which will lead to the business becoming unsuccessful in its main aims.
