Being simple, it is easier for people to remember. The first thing that comes to mind as we say "McDonald" is the letter M. The big M is really eye-catching, especially as drivers go past the big signs near shopping malls and stores. I am especially drawn to the colours that they use. The colours are not that flashy but it is able to reach out to me in some way. KFC, Burger King, Pizza Hut and many other popular fast food companies, too, include the colours red and yellow. Since fast food is now represented in mostly red and yellow, we as customers have now mentally associated those colours with the fast food world. Not only that, it is shown that primary colours are much more eye-catching, especially to children.
