The goal of this lesson plan is to have students create a short narrative with a cover, beginning, middle, and end. 

Before students can begin working on the activity, they need to learn what the parts of a narrative are and be read an example of a narrative.

There is a comfy reading nook where students can read independently or as a group. 

Students are seated in pairs. 

• They can work in pairs or push the desks to work in groups of 3 or 4.

There is plenty of shelf and wall space for students to add their own work or personal touch. 

There is a class pet that students can take turns feeding each day.

• The students will also be given the opportunity to suggest names for the class pet.
