In chapter 5, when Nick returns from his meeting with Jordan, he's frightened by a light over at West Egg. At first, it looked as though "the whole corner of the peninsula was blazing with light" (Fitzgerald 81). The sight may provide a general idea of how massive Gatsby's mansion could really be. Especially since the mansion is a place of celebration used in various parts of the book. Moreover, it's large space is a problem to the lonely Gatsby who longed to be with his beloved Daisy.

Chapter 5. page 90
"It was strange to reach the marble steps... hear no sound but bird voices in the trees."

This quote describes Gatsby's mansion as a place of loneliness if Gatsby have never invite people over. WIthout people, his house would be an empty castle with only one king. However, Gatsby celebrated parties night and day for people. From this quote, the phrase 'find no stir of bright dresses in and out of the door' can also defined as rich women wearing fancy dresses.
