Similarity w/ Abraham

Abraham had a great trust and belief in God's power just as St.Pat did. They both were discouraged at some point in their lives as well. St. Pat was extremely discouraged during his initial time in Ireland. He was kidnapped as a child and was sold into slavery for many years in Ireland. After he escaped slavery, he was exposed to the elements and suffered for awhile as a runaway slave. Eventually he found God and received a dream from Him, showing St.Pat his ticket back home. Abraham was discouraged as well. When God told him that he was to bear fruit to many generations, Abraham didn't believe himself to be good enough. He was seriously lacking in confidence. But God had to assure him that he would bless his legacy, and sure enough he did.

Noah and St. Pat both traveled across water via boat because of God's guidance. God called St.Pat in his dream and told him to walk over 200 miles to a boat going to England. Thanks to that, St. Pat was able to go home and reunite with his family. God called to Noah and told him that he was cleansing the Earth from sin. Noah built the ark with God's help and guidance, and was able to save his family and the animals from the flood. Besides that, they are also both righteous people that listen and put their full trust in God.

You can relate Saint Patrick to someone as influential as Martin Luther King Junior. They both strived for the betterment of people and longed to see change in the world. MLK wanted to bring equality and prosperity to the world even though he was heavily discriminated against by people. But even with all of these obstacles, he never let them stop his mission to make the world a better place. His legacy still echoes throughout time to this generation. St. Pat did the same thing in a sense. He came back to Ireland after spending time back in England. The reason he did this was to bring peace, love, and religion to the chaotic nation. And he very well succeeded with God's guidance and blessings. Both of them did.

Saint Patrick The Kind Prophet

St. Pat is an extremely kind and forgiving prophet. After he found God in his time of need and made it back home, he forgave his captors. Not only did he do that, he dared to go back to Ireland, the place where he experienced the worst acts of negativity in his life. He did this because, when he found God, his friend came to him in a dream and gave him a letter that told him to basically share the word of God in Ireland. So, he did. He went back to Ireland and strived to bring peace, love, and God to the nation. To overall, he is one of the most kind, generous, and brave prophets.

1) We liked how detailed the padlet was. I felt like it went over all of the important information that we needed to know in order to understand their responses. It was so detailed that you could picture the whole story through their words.
2) They probably could've used more interesting pictures to really capture the reader.
3) We like that they used Fr. Capodanno as their modern day reference.

1) We like how they always mention and emphasize God in their responses. They really wanted to drive home the fact that God is responsible for the many good things that happen in our life. He even saves us and guides us away from the bad in the world.
2) They maybe could've explained a bit more on St.Pat's connection to Mattie but besides that, they were perfect.
3) We liked how they well they explained the shamrock, and its significance.
