On Tuesday, I talked to a stuff in westmidland police station about appointment problems. I told her that I could not book an appointment until Janunary, and I would go back to my country in December, and if there is any trouble for me. She answered that I just need to print out confirmation email and show it. To be honest, I didn't prepare for this conversation, and I just described the situation I faced. I think she catches my meaning, which make me happy. However, I need to improve the fluency and accuracy of my confusion or any other conversation.

On Wednesday, I went to free language course. There was someting wrong with the register list, and I talked to the madam who taught the session. I told her that I was not on list, and she told me just added my name at the end. Acatually, I didn't prepare for it because it's just a small accident. What I satisfied with was the fluent speaking. The areas I still need to focus on were the vocabularies and accuracy.

On Friday, I chose a hot topic and described a piece of brief news to my roommate. I prepared it by looking through BBC news website. In the conversation, I tried to speak logically and clearly, but there were still some grammar mistakes. What's more, I just knew a little of the surface in the news. What I did well was the preparation of the vocabularies. However, I still need to do more on learning and description.

On wednesday, I gave a brief presentation in front of my classmates. Actually, it was not a real presentation, because only a short introduction was presented. I tried to attract the audience by giving an intersting opening. I prepared by using the sentence structure provided last week, and I also tried my best to use body language. Something I need to improved was that I really needed to be confident. I thought I might be too stressed. What's more, I could collect more interesting stories or unbelivable statistics next time.

(REALLY SORRY for last week's unavaliable log, because I forgot to turn it open in settings! Really sorry about that!

On Friday, a group presentation was given by my friends and I, in front of the whole class. Our presentation was about the problems and solutions in Birmingham Funiture Company, and my part was pointing out one of the problems and gave a possible solution. I prepared by reviewing some good sentence structures and accurate vocabularies on the presentation handout. What I needed to improve is to be more natural and made full use of the recouces on the book. Something good on this presentation was the fluency.

On Tuesday, I had a discussion with several foreign students in my IMA semianr class. I tried to explain the steps on how to solve a question by using the particular formular given in the last session. I prepared by doing the seminar questions before the class, but to be hones, I didn't prepare on how to describe it or how to show it. Therefore, something I think I need to improve is I need to practice more on the presentation, and think of a way on how to explain it in English. Something might be good was that I could speak more confidentily than before.

During the whole week, I tried my best to chat with my friend in English. Sometimes we chose a specific topic like the weather, but more times we talked the normal life, and of course, in English. At first, it was so weird when we talked in English, because everyone else knew we are Chinese. However, we got to used it and found it quite a useful way to practice speaking. I practiced and prepared this by memorizing vocabularies. What I did good was becoming brave and confident to speak English, and something I really needed to improve was the grammar and fluency.

Today I attended an advanced english workshop with those who are not native speakers. It was quiet interesting because of the active atmosphere and everyone was happy to participate in. The topic we discussed was how to ask for advice and shall we give advice to someone else. I didn't prepare a lot, because I had no idea about how this class would develop. Something I did well was I was brave enough to speak out my personal ideas. What I needed to improve was the speed and fluency. I hope I could attend more English workshop in the future.

This was my first time to celebrate a birthday for a foreign friend. Everyone talked with others in English, because we came from different countries. We talked about the plans for the week and preparations for the coming exams, and some hot current topics had been mentioned as well. The atmosphere was great, and I learnt some new vocabulary which could be used in my daily life. I could express myself fluently, but there were still some grammar mistakes. What I needed to do was to practice more whenever I could.

Today, my friend and I went to the revission class for PFA, because we had a class test on Tuesday. We firstly finished the mock test, and then we asked the tutor for some unsolved problems. We found that the language barrier brought us some trouble, because sometimes we were confused on the new vocabulary. After the revission class, I improved a lot. What I still needed to improve is the vocabulary, and what I did well this time was brave enough to ask for problems.
