Hercules accidently destroys his town(due to his unnatural strength) , by knocking a pillar over, and the entire town makes fun of him. He feels like a misfit. And then he leaves his hometown, looking for where he belongs.

Refusal of the Call

The refusal of the call comes from Phil, the renowned hero trainer. When Hercules first approaches Phil to ask for his help in achieving his immortality, he refuses. He does not believe that Hercules could be the son of Zeus, the biggest, most powerful god.

Meeting the Mentor

Zeus tells Hercules to find Philoctetes (Phil), the trainer of heroes. Hercules quickly sets out on his journey on the back of his winged horse, Pegasus. He meets Phil, the trainer of heroes, and this event represents the meeting of the mentor piece of the monomyth formula.

Crossing the Threshold

Hades, realizing that Meg is a weakness to Hercules, kidnaps her, and tells Hercules to give up his strength in return for her, with a promise of her society. Hercules gives in to his demands.

The Supreme Odeal

Hercules attempts to fight back against the titans. The titans, and Hades capture all of the Gods on Mount Olympus. Phil returns, and encourages Hercules to fight against the titans, and Meg is crushed by a pillar when she gets caught in the cross fire.

The Road Back

Reward

Hercules is now immortal, he has the ability to return to Olympus as a god. Hercules gives up his immortality, and he stays on earth with Meg. In reward for his heroic actions, Hercules's image was created in the stars.

Ressurection

The resurrection in Hercules is when Hercules attempts to save Megs soul in the underworld as she dies. He makes a bet with Hades, to take his soul, instead, if he can get her soul out of hell. Hades agrees. After swimming through an ocean of death, Hercules emerges victorious, and he is now a God. He goes to Mount Olympus, embraces his parents, and finds where he believed he belongs. He decides to give up his immortality to spend a life with Meg

Hercules proves himself a true hero by sacrificing his own life to save Meg. Just as he is about to die, his immortality is restored. He returns Meg's soul to her body, and together they go to Olympus, where he reunites with his parents.
