What are your next steps to ensure you are as informed as possible about the enhanced PYP framework, the new PS&P and the changes to workshops?

I think that first of all, as a coordinator, I will organize a study of new documents at the school with colleagues and we will review our action plan. We have a lot of work to do to develop approaches to putting into practice a new understanding of the student's role in their learning. Revision of the planners for early age, exhibitions, their implementation and testing at school. If the work goes well, I think I can say that the seminar was very useful for me. I think that it will be necessary to look for additional materials and publications on innovations, not to rest on our laurels.

What excites you about the PYP framework, PS&P and the new workshops?

I have been working as a coordinator for more than 17 years in a Russian-language school, where some primary school teachers speak English at an elementary level and are not familiar with special pedagogical vocabulary. It has always been important for me to have a deep understanding of the PYP. After all, teachers come for advice and seek help from me. I think regular training of teachers through IB and self-education is very useful. I think that the workshops of the 2nd category are always useful for teachers and coordinators. The availability of new workshops even before the introduction of new PYP facilities in schools will contribute to the development of the program in the world.
