With technology, Primary learners take ownership of their education.  They can  activate their curiosity by conducting their own research on a topic and generating their own questions.  This is a low stress and fun way to learn about a new topic.   

In terms of resources, some items such as dice, playing cards, puppets, or clocks might not be available for classes to use and experiment with.  When we use websites such as Toy Theatre, we ensure that each student has access to a wide variety of manipulatives that will help them learn.

Teachers could also directly reach out to the Technology Department Leads to suggest any apps that could be downloaded to student iPads.  This meant that access was provided in a efficient manner.  

It would also be beneficial for students to have an opportunity to share websites and applications that they found interesting or useful.

Students can even create this diverse content themselves by telling their stories and sharing their art work online.   

In my previous school, my class shared letters detailing how we celebrated Christmas with students from another country.  We patiently waited for our responses in the mail.  With technology, we can connect with classes from different regions instantaneously  and interact in a more meaningful and engaging way.

Technology can be introduced during centres where students can explore devices in a more stress free environment.  In utilizing smaller groups, the teacher can guide a student with a specific task. 

Technology could also be used in engaging group tasks such as recording a skit or presentation.

The classroom teacher can also demonstrate a STEM activity on the board and ask for volunteers to come up and continue the experiment.

In order to not further ostracize students, the classroom teacher can perhaps provide students with options on how they can present their work.
