         <description><![CDATA[<div>I always liked the metaphor for learning to drive when we talk about most recent evidence.  We don't average indicators of your ability to drive before we give you a license.  You have things you must learn (standards) and once you have learned them you take your driving test and you either pass or you try again.  We don't punish people for how long it took them or how many tries.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[Do I have to look at the academic part when students are late with their assignments? Even though submitting within a given time was a condition, if you submit it late, you will have more time to complete the task than other students.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It doesn't seem like most parents or students have buy in. No one wants a C and everyone wants an A. An A still means 100%. No amount of staff PD or training is going to change this thinking of our parents and students. ~I'd be more comfortable (and confident) with using SBG if there was more buy in from the community.<br><br>By using an average letter grade in PS, it reinforces the thinking that A is 100%. Are we doing more harm than good in the community we serve?<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think grade level scores are not descriptive enough. I think their needs to be 1.. 1.5. 2.5...3.0 3.5 and 4.0. <br>In a students mind a 3 is good but a 2 is terrible. <br><br>Or We could have language like proficient and semi proficient... something more than just 1...2...3..4....<br>Even assigned letter grades without percentages...a bi-product of SBG. <br>E, P+, P, P-,P, G+,G,G-, BN+,BN, Y( Yet to Meet)<br><br><br>Side Note and Example<br>In English class students are receiving 3's and they are not proficient... Receiving a 2 is a death sentence to them but they are not proficient. There needs to something between a 2 and a 3 to say this student isnt quite a 3 but they arent quite a 2.</div>]]></description>
