         <description><![CDATA[<div>Since we didn’t decide on the theme, and it seemed like we would not be able to with all the arguments, the solution was to decide on the places that we could make use of first. Filming outside of school would be difficult and time management would be complicating, since the group have to meet outside, so all the filming places will be inside of school.<br><br></div><div>Bathroom, Art Room, Playground, Swimming Pool = these are the places that could be used for the film since it has several objects there to create different sounds<br><br></div><div>Some of the theme ideas with these places were:</div><div>-          A School Day of a Student (where we would have 4 periods, lunch and recess so every one of the places could be involved) – This was too broad and would be difficult to try to put into 3 minutes only, and we would not be able to concentrate on each scene. </div><div>-          Reminiscence of an Adult (where it is similar to the first one but different in a way that it is the reminiscence from an adult who have already graduate) – This was a fine idea which could have been taken but we talked more in order to get out some more ideas.<br><br></div><div>The final theme, which is also the title of the STOMP performance, which has been chosen, is called “Our Memory Recollection”. It is a story where five senior students reminisce about the valuable childhood memories that they have shared and start to miss that time. The story briefly goes on like this: 5 students will be studying in a classroom, not one of them will be looking at each other nor sitting together and are busy with their individual tasks to complete (this scene means that the students are not close now due to lack of conversation and time spent together, too busy to study and learn). One of the students, sitting in the corner, will start her rhythm and others will slowly join (in this scene, the rhythms will all be slow and lethargic, creating a blue and boring mood). A student will start daydreaming and the scene would turn black, and then back to color with different place and scene, which will be the playground. All five girls (this time wearing some childish cloths, to show that they are kindergarteners) will be playing in the playground, but all of them together this time. The rhythms will be played with the equipment, creating fast and exciting beat. Suddenly, one of the girls would start to cry, and shout at the other girl, who did not allow the crying girl to go on the ride on the slide. The rhythms will get faster and more intense with some shootings of the two girls in between. One of the fighting girls will run out the playground and go into the bathroom, get inside and closed one of the restroom stalls. The children will run after her (dragging the other one that was fighting), and comfort two girls to soothe (there will be crossings of the rhythms mood since the children’s will get angry in between but then try to calm themselves). After the two girls become happy again, all one them will grab each other’s hand and get outside of the bathroom, get into the hallway, create some happy rhythms then a girl will call out for everyone, and then run outside the playgrounds door. The story ends.<br><br></div><div>After roughly and briefly outline the story, we went to take a look at the playground, bathroom, and hallway. There are two playgrounds in the school, the Kindergartener’s playground and the elementary playground. We decided to choose the Kindergarteners’ playground because there is not enough equipment in the other one and this one is more like a playground for little kids. However, the playground was too big when we checked it out, and the sounds will be difficult to be heard into the camera if we are spread out. There is a method where we can record all the different rhythms and combine it digitally but it requires lots of work and none of us are good at technical stuffs.. So we decided to only use the half of the playground to hear the rhythms, which includes the slide, monkey bar, the ground, and more. Second, the bathroom that we chose to use it the one that is nearest to the playground, there is a hall between the bathroom and the door to the playground so it also matches our story. Additionally, the bathroom is very good at trapping sounds so we don’t need to try hard to shout and stomp. Though there will be some problems to this since the rhythms that will be created in the bathroom will be loud and fast, it can be very loud since the room traps sound, its fine since we can technically lower the volume of that particular scene. The hallway has nothing to make use of, but we can use our body parts at that scene since it will be slow rhythms going on.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is the plan that we created in the beginning of the lesson to outline the goal for the class. However, we had to use the whole class to create the storyboard and plan the story more closely, and couldn't finish the second targeted task, which will become tomorrow's task.<br><br>First scene – 5 students in class doing different things, not caring about each other</div><div>Duration of the scene: 20 seconds<br>Instruments: Pen (pen tapping), pencil case (zipper), water bottle, desk (stomping), book (flipping page)<br>Mood of rhythms: Slow and boring, purpose is to be expressing how these students are not having fun in life and exhausted of all the work. Long repetitions will be included in order to make the rhythms boring.<br><br>Second scene – After walking around the room and show all 5 different students, one student will suddenly stop stomping the desk and all other students follow. The camera will zoom into the student and the student will start daydreaming. Everything goes blur.<br>Duration of the scene: 5 seconds<br><br>Third scene – A light flashes and shows feet jumping on the floor of game board, which making sound. Then the camera turns to the chalkboard and shows a girl (dressed up as kindergartener) using the chalk to make sound and draw on the board. She throws the chalk away after some seconds then turns around. Following the girl, the camera turns around and shows the main playground, where 4 other students, 5 when the chalkboard girl gets in makes sounds while playing like youngsters.<br>Duration of the scene: 20 seconds<br>Instruments: Board Game Floor, Chalkboard (chalk drawing), monkey bar (hitting the iron with drumsticks), slide (hitting)<br>Mood of rhythms: Fast and fun, all 5 people will be running around and happily create rhythms.<br><br>Fourth scene - A girl is trying to come from a slide, and another girl at the bottom mischievously blocks her from coming down. This will continue for a while and with a shout from the girl at the top of the slide, trying to get down, every sound stops.&nbsp;<br>Duration of the scene: 20 seconds<br>Instrument: Monkey bar, slides, and more<br>Mood of rhythms: Still playful and happy at first, but gets faster and reaching the climax, the loudest and fastest rhythms of the song gets produced, then everything stops.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Today's Plan - Finish the creation of rhythms, sound testing, planning and synchronizing for scene #3, which is the scene in the playground.<br>After completing the sound tests, note organizations for the first scene. We had to move onto the next scene rhythm creating. The scene takes place in the playground, and we are going to use the materials and objects in the playground. At first, we thought of using the whole playground but later thought that it would be too difficult for the sound to travel all the way, therefore just decided to use the half of the playground. Another problem was that there are not many objects in the playground to make sounds of "with hands" effectively. The Monkey bar and slides were not able to create loud sounds by hands. Therefore, we decided to use drumsticks, knowing the problem that it is weird for kinder gardeners to have drumsticks in the playground with them, we just decided to say that they received it from the teacher to play with them. Objects we thought of using were Monkey bar (with drumsticks), slides (with drumstick), and the chalkboard (with drumsticks). Some other which were in the plan but not succeed to get into the final decisions were the Game Board on the ground because it is difficult to create sounds on them, and the tunnel on the playground made of iron, which failed because the sound vibrates too much and does not create happy mood, also makes the person playing that part difficult to look like she is playing. Finally, we decided to make us of two slides, the chalkboard with iron fence above it, and the Monkey bar. These are all made sounds with drumsticks and we decided to all use drumsticks because it may look better and more realistic than only some using it, and we can make more sounds at the same time. There are two types of drumsticks, the thick one create bigger sounds and the thinner one crete<br>For the rhythms, a person would play the original beat and everyone just tried to get in using the beat that we all created individually, keeping track that it should be happy and expressed like a kid.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The important feedback that we got for the playground scene were:<br>1) The sound of the slide can not be heard<br>2) It was played in time, but still have trouble finishing it in time<br>Some important positive feedback we got are:</div><div>1) Used variety of different sounds and used creative instruments</div><div>2) All the rhythms are heard and beats are enough</div><div>We are going to decide on how many beats will be played after Yeon Su comes in and stop the entire beat at the same time; also, eye contacts will be made. Additionally, the part that Yeeun will be playing will be changed into playing with a basketball bouncing off the wall rather than just hitting the iron since it sounds similar with other instruments, also, since she is playing next to me, and I am playing the slide, the sound of the slide gets smaller.<br><br></div><div>Some feedback that we got for the class scene was:</div><div>1)&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The rhythms is too boring</div><div>2)&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The flipping page sound cannot really been heard and is useless</div><div>3)&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Need a climax of the sounds so should increase the speed or&nbsp; increase the sounds<br>We were successful when considered the goal of the scene, which was to create boring slow rhythms that would make the audience understand how much these students are bored, and the next scene would give a difference and change the whole mood. The flipping page is meant to be done with different book which produce louder sound.<br><br>&nbsp;Overall, I believe we should really concentrate on conveying the video's story effectively because after performing, many people got confused with how the playground and classroom is related. Therefore, it would become a really weird video if the story doesn’t get conveyed properly.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>First, last time we got a feedback saying that my sound of stepping on the&nbsp; slide is hard to hear with other loud sounds. Therefore, I changed the shoes into a hard one and let Yeeun, who was making rhythms right next to me, to move down the slide and make sound with a basketball instead. This would create more variety of sounds and make it easier for my sound of the slide to be heard.<br><br>After the scene where Yeon Su make me angry, and the climax beat stops, I am going to run down the iron funnel in the other way. Then start a new rhythm with Yeon Su with the funnel when I finished climbing down then other teammates will build up to that rhythms with theirs. However, there was a problem that it takes a lot of time for me to climb the funnel down since it is really steep and small for me. Therefore, rather than letting me and Yeon Su starting the new rhythms, other people will start to play the new rhythms of theirs first, then when Yeon su and I gets in, the beat and pitch will get faster to make it another climax. After that, there is a staircase next to it so I can climb down and stomp to the restroom, expressing that I am angry.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Me and Yeon Su went down to the playground and realized that after the 2nd scene, we can't connect the story fluently to the next one because I have to mad and run our the playground but there is no way to get down from the slide rather than the slide. It just seemed to look "weird". So we looked for a method while walking around the playground. Realizing that there is a iron tunnel behind the slide and it create unique sound. Additionally, there was a small stair next to it that I can walk down. Therefore, we adjusted by adding one more scene in the playground to make it flow smoother.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Filming started today. At first, we were planning to use the Science Lab for the first scene, but realized that there are classes in each of them and we cannot make sounds freely there with students studying. Therefore, we decided to use Mr. Taylor's Math room wit his permission given. It had tables and cables to use to film.<br><br>There were no important problem happened during the filming but we felt that Yun Jae having 4 water bottles from the beginning of the film would make the story weird for the audiences to understand since all of the others are studying and she cannot have 4 water bottles from the start. Therefore, the story changed a bit where while Yeeun presses starts and comes into the video, Yun Jae acts like if she was bored then accidentally finds out that she can make fun sounds with the water bottles and gather up others' water bottles too.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Today's Plan - Finish filming all the filming of the scenes so that filming can be done tomorrow<br><br>We decided to film all the scenes that needs to be taken the bathroom. The scene where I get mad and runs into the bathroom, the scene where the rest of the friends come to call me, the scene where me and Yeon Su get back together. The problem was that the camera was not fully charged and it had to b connected to the charger all the time. Therefore we had to borrow an electrical chord from the PE office. At the scene where Yeon Su, Min Ji, Yun Jae, and Yeeun comes to call me out of the bathroom by continuing to tap on the bathroom door, the sounds all synchronized and fine to listen to, mostly, it achieved our goal of the rhythms mood which was to build up sounds and make to show that the mood is getting tenser. However we thought that there might be a variation of sounds in this scene, therefore tried to add the pitch of each sounds which was the only thing that we could have done.&nbsp; Next, the scene where me and Yeon Su grabs hands together and get back together, there were lack of variations in sound so we got to add Min Ji making sounds with her mouth and me and Yeon Su creating different beats and rhythms than Yun Jae and Yeeun.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is the link to the Traditional Western Notation and Graphic Notation that we have done: <a href="https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B5Fv7xnurAAWRFoydGsxX3BVOGs?usp=sharing">https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B5Fv7xnurAAWRFoydGsxX3BVOGs?usp=sharing</a><br><br>The last one scene we took film of today was the second part of the playground scene (the climax, where I show that I am actually angry at her). One problem was that even though we have finished the notation, it was still difficult for other teammates to follow me and Yeon Su's beat where it suddenly gets faster to show the climax. Therefore, we decided to during the "getting faster" of the rhythms, only me and Yeon Su would play our rhythms loud so that other rhythms made by others will not be heard at least at that time, because then, they would not need to follow up the beat and mess up, making it sound even worse.</div>]]></description>
