Their cognitive/theoretical learning takes place here, with scaffolded learning and extra practice based on scores and performance. Students are then paired with other students at their level for discussion and projects. Classrooms are spaces to discuss concepts, practice skills, and present content, and where community and motivational skills are developed. Credits and certificates are awarded based on specific competencies, and learning paths / diplomas are descriptive rather than prescriptive based on to the student’s specific learning and career goals.
