Both times, "Chaos" and "Order" felt equally messy, not because of the leaders faults, but due to the fact that the task was so hard that it was difficult if someone was guiding the people or not.
We feel like Hobbes would NOT be surprised by our answer, as it should be known that sometimes society will be equally chaotic, when led or not, if the people don't know what they're doing in the face of a difficult time.
Unlike the rest of the philosophers on this list, Hobbes mainly believed in a monarchy, not only due to his personal experiences with the chaos of war and anarchy, but because he found that one, strong leader is better to rule a group of people than ANOTHER group of people.

To represent Life, we chose the clock because it tells us how how fast time goes in our lives. We chose the flag to represent liberty because it's a representation of our country and how we have "freedom". Lastly, we chose our notebooks to represent property as it's our own school supplies.

We chose a computer to represent property, due to the fact that it is not only a personal item that holds a lot of private information, but has the most monetary value out of the objects we carry in the room, therefore making it one of the most treasured.
We chose a pencil case to represent liberty, as mediums like markers and pencils are a symbol/tool of expression, something a country full of liberty allows and encourages.
We chose a water bottle to represent life, as water is a basic necessity to survive, just like how life is the most basic and foundational right out of the three.

Original Rule (Majority Rule): Whenever a big decision is being made, everyone votes and the option with the highest raise of hands win.

Updated Rule (Majority Rule) Whenever a big decision is being made, everyone on the island writes their vote down and the option with the highest counted tally wins.

We decided to change this rule to keep voting more private and to not turn citizens against each other if someone voted for something someone else doesn't agree with. It keeps peace on the island while still keeping everyone included in important choice-making.

After failing our attempt of getting up, this affected the whole group because we didn't reach consensus or work together (we just tried getting up on our own). This relates to checks and balances because if one branch in the government gets the most power, the whole system can fall if they don't work together.

Like the checks and balances found in Montesquieu's philosophy, in our human "tripod" we all had to keep each other in check and communicate to get down and back up again safely. If one person failed, the other two had to try more to get the other person back up again. Same goes for government; all three bodies need to cooperate and work together to accomplish a common goal, not let one take charge or fall behind.

From our original constitution, we decided to specify more by saying how specific the percentage is for "majority rule". We agreed that no law can be changed without a vote from the people, the vote should be 49 to 51 for the decision to win.

We decided to change Majority Rule which is 50% of people must agree to the same vote. We changed it so that you need atleast 75% or more because everyone has their opinions and their may be a internal conflict between the people.
