1. Historical and personal interest Baltimore Aquarium. We chose to see the Baltimore aquarium for a couple of reasons. We both personally love wildlife and seeing a variety of marine creatures. We chose to go here for personal interest.

We also chose to go here from a historical viewpoint. In 1976 Baltimore’s citizens voted in favor for an aquarium. This aquarium is famous worldwide and is ranked in the top three aquariums in America. Congress classified this aquarium under a national status. This information and history surprised us and we would like to visit it.

Longfellow is a famous poet who translated Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. If that isn’t cool enough George Washington actually lived there during the Siege of Boston from July 1775-April 1776.

1. New York historical and personal interest: New York is the largest city in the U.S. containing over 8.5 million people. Many tourists come in from all different countries to visit the city and do numerous activities, eat at a variety of places, and watch all kinds of shows or performances. We would like to go there to see some famous people and eat at some famous restaurants. We will watch out for homeless people and druggies.

Historical standpoint. Before Washington D.C. New York served as the capitol of America from 1785-1790. In the 1760’s and 70’s the Stamp Act was just passed and New Yorkers closed their businesses to protest. The city played a strategic piece before the revolution when the British tried to seize it and they did. George Washington’s army gave it their best shot, but NYC served as a British military base until 1783. We want to go to NYC and visit more museums and discover more information of New York and the city.
