Computerized Physician Order Entry- ordering errors are a common type of medication error. The physician may write an incomplete order that omits dose, route, or frequency.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; Other errors include illegible orders or the use of unapproved terminology.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;CPOE combats such errors by ensuring that the order is complete, legible, and in standard format.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>2.&nbsp; Barcode Medication Administration- reduces medication errors by electronically verifying the "5 rights of Medication Administration" right patient, right dose, right drug, right time, right route<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Example: When a nurse scans the barcode on his/her identification badge, on the patient's wristband, and on the medication to be administered, the data are delivered to a computer software where algorithms check various databases and generate real-time warnings or approvals.<br><br>     Most systems automatically document in real time, the administration of the medication in an electronic medication administration record (eMAR).</div>]]></description>

Making the health information readily available, reducing delays in treatment.&nbsp;</li><li>Clinical decision support: computer based programs that analyze data within EHRs to provide prompts and reminders to assist healthcare providers in implementing evidence-based clinical guidelines at the point of care.</li><li>Sensors and wearable technology- enables the continuous monitoring of human physical activities and biochemical parameters such as vital signs (heart rate, BP, oxygen saturation) ECG.</li><li>Remote monitoring tools- non invasive remote monitoring devices that measure or detect common physiological parameters and non invasive monitoring devices that wirelessly transmit patient information to their healthcare provider or other monitoring entity.</li></ul>]]></description>
