Jacqui Wilmmer was using Google Classrooms as a way to have students share their ideas, and to discuss with each other. In Crystal Krippaehne's room, she was using the SOS strategy Instagram to have students in their reading groups read an article and draw a picture of the main idea. She also had students using lyrics and songs for them to listen and read along with and the last group was working with a play and they were reading it in parts and working on their tone, inflection, and reading fluency. After observation I met with teachers during their planning time, and I met with the principal after school. Each teacher wanted to focus on how to use their ipad that the principal just bought them, in an effective way. The principal wanted to learn how to use google resources and google classroom. Jacqui Wilmer and I we planned what we will be doing on Friday as well as talked about how she's doing as far as with implementing different media in her classroom. She feels that she is doing a good job with using tools like goole classrooms, plickers, etc. But needs more help with applying tech tools during core instruction periods, and not just with extension activities or with assignments. We also discussed using different tools like osmo, ozobots, etc on friday with a career connection.  In Emily' Fiorito's classroom I helped her set up her apple tv, then we planned what we are doing on Friday (video taping her dash and dots). In Emily Fiorito's room, I showed her students various web 2.0 tools ( scratch, geoguessr, mysimpleshow, powtoon, storybird, comiclife), as a way for them to have voice and choice when it comes to them choosing how to present their information after a project is completed. I also showed them a few random web tools that can help with coding and their focus on geography. We then took a survey (analog), and had them pick which tool they liked. 

In Jacqui Wilmer's class, she was eager to show me how she is using a web tools she found online (Mission US), and incorprated it into a google classrooms project. Her students were super engaged and loved the simulation!

In Crystal Krippaehne classroom, they're studying fractions. After observation, I had a brief debrief with each teacher, and we set goals for what each of them wanted to accomplish for this years DLC. They all talked about how they want to be able to share what they've learned not only with their grade levels but with the whole school staff.
