When Russell was only a year old when he was given to an orphange because his parents passed. He is the youngest out of three brothers and growing up he learned many survial skills in the orpahange. He never met his parents but Tucker and Liam tell him stories about how adventurous his father was and how his mother was so caring. He realied on the knowledge of the two boys who taught him to tie his shoe, start fires, and hunt for food. Although Tucker was tough on Liam and Russell, he was just trynig to prepare them for the wilderness. Tucker, the eldest, was ten when he suffered the dramatic incendent. He decided to take care of his younger siblings and traveled a long way to find Yeler Orphanage. After spending five years in the orphanage, Tucker who was now fifteen, Liam who was thirteen, and Russell who was only six escaped in the middle of a cold winter night. They traveld for miles and miles until they felt they couldn't be tracked. Their footsteps were being covered by freshly fallen snow. When they reached the Yukon trial they built a stick fort to cover them from the snow and they laid blankets down to keep the floor warm. Tucker has learned to take care of young kids, so he will be able to help his brothers on the trail. Because of what old timers said Tucker had to make sure that he brought enough supplies for him and his brother. Before my mother pasted away we would do everything together. He would help her cook dinner and clean the house.
