Then I would have them go up to the front of the room together and act out that describing word and have the rest of the class guess what word they are acting out.

Another idea would be to give the students sentences and have them all read aloud and when it came to a describing word I would have them stand up and instead of saying the word act it out together as a class. 

Another idea I found on the creative drama website was doing weather, telling each student to pick a different type of weather and have them act it out. The teacher would say "weather" and they would start acting out the weather and then the teacher would ask questions about how it made them feel what smells do they small, what do they hear?
