- Vindication of the Rights of Men - Arguing against Edmund Burke's Reflections on the Revolution in France. Wollstonecraft argued that what was need was more freedom and simplification of many of the institutions of the government, unlike Burke who thought the abolishment of certain systems would cause a negative affect on human rights.
- Vindication on the Rights of Woman - Advocating for the equality of both men and women. Ridiculed and resented the preconceived notions that woman were helpless, and were meant to stay in the household. She asserted that education was the key to achieving a sense of self-respect and a positive self-image that would enable women to be more empowered and use their capabilities to good use.
- Maria, or the Wrongs of Woman - Focuses on the idea that women had strong sexual desires. Wollstonecraft stated that it would be degrading and immoral to pretend otherwise. This work was one reason why critics would not take her words seriously in the following centuries.

- Wollstonecraft overall made some very important steps towards gender equality and was one of the only women of the time period in that area that was able to make it into some very exclusive philosophical circles.
- A lot of her work while it was criticized by men still has lasting contributions to today's society. Even though she stated in several works that the education and betterment of women was not to overthrow the control of men but rather to better themselves.
- In her later years she dealt with a lot of mental health problems including major depression which lead to several suicide attempts.
- Could there have been more she could have done to promote women's equality at the time? Could she have been more focused on the oppression of women by men during this period and how would that have changed her reputation and the women's movements of the future?
