Fact 3: Louisa was serving as a nurse during the Civil War. When Louisa found out about the war, she wanted to help as much as possible. She then went to Washington, D.C., to help out as a nurse to those soldiers who were harmed during the war. Due to being exposed to many bacteria and illnesses, she then fell very sick, which she carried with her throughout the rest of her life.

They started to act weird due to being caught in an absurd scene of dancing around the fire in the woods at night. To get out of trouble, they decided to accuse 3 others of witchcraft. This occurred in February 1692.
