However, in chapter 9, that all changes when a van pulls up to take Boxer to a hospital in Willingdon, according to Napoleon. Benjamin realizes that the van reads, "Alfred Simmonds, Horse Slaughterer and Glue Boiler, Willingdon. Dealer in Hides and Bone-Meal. Kennels Supplied," indicating that Boxer would be slaughtered and he shouts to the other animals about it. No one else can read as effectively as Benjamin, so they all think that Boxer will be treated carefully until they find out what the van says, in accordance to Benjamin. I made this meme to show the importance of Benjamin speaking out in that moment to alert the animals about what was going to happen to Boxer due to their lack of reading knowledge. Squealer lies to the animals telling a silly fib but the animals by it and are relieved. I picked this meme because when I read the chapter I couldn't believe that Napoleon had done such a thing to one of the best, and hardest workers on the farm. I think Boxer deserved much more and could have live longer if dumb Napoleon hadn't sent him off to be killed.
