It aims to promote self-discipline, love of the country, nationalism and patriotism and in becoming a globally competitive country. 

The curriculum in the present is outcome and performance-based and it subjects to the need of our country to compete with the international standards of education. It also promotes skills such us; inquiry skills, scientific attitude, integration of knowledge and bilingualism. Moreover, the evolution of the present curriculum in the Philippines has something to  with the international factors and emerging ideologies, science and technology.
