In this video, it talks about how the children in your classroom may have a different amount of "poker chips". For the child that barely is noticed, you need to give that child compliments to boost his/her self esteem and make them feel like they belong.

In this video, it talks and shows us a few students that were treated so terrible in the public school systems. Because they had disabilities or an IEP, they were locked in closets and told that they would have no future. Some of the students came home with bruises on them from the teachers abuse.

This is a video about Rita Pierson and she tells us that you have to have a connection with the students. You have to develop a positive relationship with the students because they will not learn if they do not feel like they belong. She is a very powerful speaker and says that every child should have a champion and have a person that wants them to do their best.
