Shutter Island is my favorite movie because of its gripping and surprising plot that keeps you hooked from start to finish. Directed by Martin Scorsese, the film follows supposed detective Teddy Daniels as he investigates the disappearance of a patient at a psychiatric hospital, only to gradually reveal that he is actually a patient in denial. The final twist, combined with the dark atmosphere and Leonardo DiCaprio’s powerful performance, turns the suspense into a deep study of guilt and madness. It’s a film that stands out for both its story and emotional impact.

My all-time favorite movie is Memento, directed by Christopher Nolan. I like it a lot because the film has an ending that leaves the viewer completely shocked after understanding it, and it has a very interesting premise, with its story being told backwards.

I watched this movie with my father a few years ago. It was a memorable experience because he already knew the film and liked it a lot, so he wanted to watch it with me. It was a moment of connection between us, and that’s why this movie stayed in my memory in a special way.

The story of Memento shows us Leonard Shelby, a man who cannot form new memories because of anterograde amnesia that he developed after his wife’s death. Leonard tries to find out who killed his wife, and the whole plot revolves around this revenge. It’s a movie that requires attention, and that made me interested at the time, as it was very different from everything I had seen before.

My favorite movie of all time is Forrest Gump. I really like it because it has everything: it’s funny, emotional, and inspiring. Forrest is a man who sees the world in a different way. He’s not the smartest, but he has a good heart and always tries to do the right thing.

I think this movie is special because it shows that you don’t need to be a genius to live a great life. Forrest runs across the country, becomes a soldier, plays ping pong for the USA, and even starts a shrimp business! But what I love most is how much he loves Jenny. No matter what, he’s always there for her.

This movie also makes me think about my own life and the people around me. It reminds me to be kind and to not give up, even when things get hard. I watched it with my family one day, and it really stuck with me since then.

Also, the music in the movie is amazing and the story keeps you interested the whole time. That’s why Forrest Gump is my favorite movie it makes me feel a lot of different emotions and teaches something important about life.

( review de sites confiáveis )

Review 1 – RogerEbert.com

“Tom Hanks gives an astonishing performance.
Koe no katachi/A voz do silêncio

My favorite movie of all time is Koe no Katachi (A Silent Voice). What I love most about it is how the main character, Shoya, is deeply flawed. He starts out doing something really wrong, but over time, he goes through a real and beautiful redemption. He doesn’t forget or erase his past—he faces it, feels guilt, shame, and slowly tries to become a better person. That’s what makes it so powerful to me.

The movie touched me because it doesn’t try to simplify things. It shows how hard it is to change, how the consequences of our actions stay with us, and how healing is a long process. It felt very human. Also, the theme of bullying is really important. The film shows how bullying can leave deep scars, not just on the person who suffers it, but also on those who take part in it and those who stay silent. It’s a very real issue in today’s world, and the way the movie deals with it is emotional and honest.

The characters feel real, the animation is beautiful, and the silence in some scenes says more than any words could. It’s not a typical anime. It’s a story about pain, redemption, connection, and the value of empathy. That’s why it’s my favorite.

Reviews:

https://www.theguardian.com/film/2017/mar/16/a-silent-voice-review-a-beguiling-coming-of-age-animation

https://www.theverge.com/2017/10/20/16482234/a-silent-voice-kyoto-animation-kyoani

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy / Trilogia O Senhor dos Aneis

Out of all movies, The Lord of the Rings is by far the best one for me—not only because of its qualities as a film, but also because of the greatness of the story it tells. Peter Jackson and his team of writers did an amazing job adapting the book to a movie format. It was a massive production that took around 8 years to complete and cost about $281 million. But all that effort paid off: the trilogy grossed around $2.9 billion and won 17 Oscars. So yes, the numbers don’t lie—it was a truly monumental achievement, and to me, the GOAT. A true masterpiece.

What really made LOTR touch me in such a deep way was the experience of finally seeing the wonderful fantasy world of J.R.R. Tolkien brought to life. Of course, Tolkien’s incredible writing already allowed readers to visualize his stories with their imagination, but this was something different. Now we had real faces for our favorite characters, we could hear the music, see the grand banquets described in the books, and witness the fierce battles. One of the greatest aspects, in my opinion, was how faithfully the movie respected Professor Tolkien’s work—it brought his world into reality in a truly remarkable way.

But of course, that’s not the only reason I love it so much. I also have to say that the choices made throughout the movie were astounding—from the cast to the scenes—it was a brilliant display of directing skills. The battles felt real, like the protagonists were in actual danger! Watching Aragorn fight the Uruk-hai in The Fellowship of the Ring was such a breathtaking experience, even for someone like me who had already read the books.

In the end, all I can say is that it’s an incredible and awe-inspiring film that will always hold the top spot in my heart. The only thing I wish I could change is that I wish Master Tolkien had been alive to see it. I know he would probably have had a lot of critiques, but deep down, I believe it would have been a truly incredible experience for him to witness his work come to life.

Review 1 - theguardian.com

"It was a long, long ending, but never a boring one—though at times you might feel like progressive rock fans must have felt listening to the final side of Yessongs, watching the needle travel across the vinyl and realizing it’s still not over, not by a long shot"

Review 2 - stepulaski.com

"As a way to elongate the feeling of embarking on a long journey — and, frankly, to give myself time to digest between installments — I’ll be revisiting Middle-earth every Monday until the trilogy is complete. Some are braver than myself, and hold marathons of the extended editions of the trilogy; some even start with the three Hobbit films before even touching Jackson’s trilogy. Bless them and their devout nature. They are stronger than I. I’ve put off this series for long enough. What’s another couple week’s time?"

The RTX 2060 Super was a notable GPU for its balance between performance and price, ideal for 1080p and 1440p gaming with basic ray tracing. At launch, it quickly gained attention for offering next-gen features at a mid-range cost. Despite its relatively high power consumption, it became a dominant option in its category.

In 2025, however, the card starts to show signs of aging. Modern AAA titles with advanced ray tracing and high-resolution textures push its limits, often requiring settings to be lowered. DLSS helps extend its usability, but the performance gap between it and newer GPUs is increasingly noticeable.

When first released, the 2060 Super was a great option for gamers transitioning from older Full HD systems. Its 8 GB of VRAM and CUDA capabilities also made it attractive to 3D modelers and video editors who needed a reliable, affordable solution.

While it no longer stands out in raw power, the 2060 Super still holds value on the used market. For budget-conscious gamers or those building mid-range setups focused on 1080p gaming, it remains a capable and relevant option — especially when paired with smart settings management.
