She is small and dark-skinned, which is why she is always teased by other children in the household. The owners of the house are extra strict and would nag her most of the time. She is prohibited from going to school and she has not made any friends in the city. She has not gone home for several months because of the pandemic. One day, she started to cry frequently, does not talk to anyone, cannot sleep and eat well, and felt worthless. She prays everyday to help her cope. The first reason is that is she teased by other children in the household (sociocultural factor) She was prohibited to go to school and has not gone home for several months and the owners of the house were strict  (Psychodynamic factor).

I would also like to highlight that being told to work at a young age can be hard and felt pressured and stressed that she was poor and lived in a remote village and her parents did not have a stable job so she had to work (Psychodynamic factor). Another trigger is her dark colored skin (Biological factor) and was teased for it. When she started to cry and stop talking persistently and frequently she felt worthless.(Behavioural factor). Many factors make why she experienced depression.

With a lot on her plate, it would be difficult for her to cope especially at adolesence. WIth a lot of stress, it could be hard to balance it out. Mostly because our hormones can indeed change how we cope.

The best thing I could do is to listen and understand her as much as I can. It is important that we lend a helping ear. Even as simple as offering support and making them feel special by spending time with them.
Additionally, it is important that we refer them to a professional that can help with more depth.

The factors that led to Kisha's depression was first, she was taken by her mother in to the city to work as a househelper without considering what she would feel. As said, her skin was dark so she was bullied by the other children in the household. Even children nowadays are racist. To add on, she is always getting nagged by the house owners. I could say that she was unappreciated even though she really tried her very best. She was not allowed to have a friend, and for a a teen ager, it is actually hard to be alone and to have no one to talk to. At the end, she was not able to go home due to the pandemic. She was left behind, suffering alone.
