After a week of study, I started my own study mode, I started to work and study hardly, which is very precious for me. I also realised the importance of group work, we were always discussing with each other in class, which helped us to learn how to communicate with students from different cultures. This makes me happy because I can learn about other cultures in the world.

Obviously,I realise that I have a lot of problems with English after this week,my English grammar is one of them. I can not finsh a whole essays without translator before I get to this course,and jamie my tutor encouraged me.I'm very thankful for that.

After six weeks' time, when I look back on this time I hope to be able to feel the improvement and endeavour I have made, and to remember the faces of each one in this course.

Then when I grew up, I started to learn about him and that made the T-shirt even cooler. Ernesto Guevara. A great proletarian fighter.He fought for the poor and needy throughout Latin America, living out his beliefs in practical ways. His image became a hero to countless people, inspiring them to strive for change in their societies. A man from a rich family who spent his life fighting for the poor. I think he's an iconic figure.

I learnt about him in books, in newspapers, on the internet, and I admired him so much, and I thought that social change needs everyone's participation, so I started to share his ideas on social media, and I put his image and his words on more of my T-shirts.

I am not a liberator. Liberators do not exist. It exists when people liberate themselves.

Guevara's spirit inspires me and makes me believe that every individual has the ability to drive social change. I learnt that social progress requires the active participation and endeavour of every individual form

him.

Guevara's image has become a source of inspiration for me in my efforts to pursue justice, equality and human dignity, and inspires me to struggle for a better world.

I learned about this activism because I love basketball shoes and Nike tends to release a lot of cool shoes during Black Month. It made me realise that even though I'm Asian I could be affected by the anti-racism movement in the US.

I am very surprised by this behaviour, because as a clothing company, it is telling people not to buy clothes on the most important day of the year for the company.

Patagonia in the official website, it is mentioned that “We’re placing the ad in the Times because it’s the most important national newspaper and considered the “paper of record.” We’re running the ad on Black Friday, which launches the retail holiday season. We should be the only retailer in the country asking people to buy less on Black Friday“(Moorman, C. 2020)

Their adverts celebrate various cultural festivals, such as Christmas and Chinese New Year, to convey the importance of multiculturalism. For example, in China they launch a series of New Year adverts every year. They also celebrate Christmas in English-speaking countries. This makes me think about cultural diversity and makes me want to support such brands.

At first I was surprised at how much importance is attached to learning integrity in the UK, in my country we don't make it such an important thing, but of course it is crucial. But after learning more about it, I think it is necessary and helpful for my own career.

It makes us appreciate the value of honesty and integrity, because the price of every mistake is very high. It will also help us to have a more equal environment in which to study. I believe this is essential for personal growth and academic development.

In the future, I believe I will abide by it and graduate well.

Although it was impossible to organise the show in Ukraine under the current circumstances, the majority of the fashion industry there is proving that even in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges, the spirit of designers has not been quenched.

For this fashion show, the audience saw not only the clothes, but the meaning behind them, that there are still people in the world who are being attacked by war. But these designers are still working hard to express themselves through their work.

I think that's what radicalism is all about, advancing their goals through demonstrations, protests, social movements, political activism or other forms of collective resistance.(Holtzhausen. 2009)

John Lennon claimed that Imagine is

“An anti-religious, anti-nationalistic, anti-conventional, anti-capitalist song, but because it’s sugar-coated, it’s accepted”

In the song, John Lennon encourages us to imagine a world free of all kinds of social divisions. He envisioned a world without governments, property, religion, etc., which could make the world a utopia.

I heard this song when I was very young, and I didn't know what it meant at the time, but I just thought it was very nice, and the singer had a kind of sadness about it.

Imagine is considered a activism song because it advocates social and political change. It encourages listeners to imagine a world that does not lead to conflict and division. At the same time, I also think it has something to do with John's own life as a symbolic figure in the anti-Vietnam War.

Even though Imagine is considered childishly idealistic, as Lennon sings in the song,“You may say I'm a dreamer”

I think the song does represent a lot of people's anti-war desire and pushes it, and that's good enough.

There are several reasons why Imagine remains so popular. The themes of peace, love and unity in the song are enduring . The song itself is very catchy and it has very simple lyrics that everyone can sing along to. At the same time, the influence of the Beatles was so great that everyone wanted to know about John Lennon.

For brands like Nike, which is so closely associated with African-American athletes, this is a social issue that they have to take a stand on.so through its attitude, I can clearly see how the brand expresses itself on these issues.which way make me can better analyse the brand's market direction.

Through my research, I have gained a deeper understanding of the complexity of racial injustice.

The case of George Floyd highlighted the need for social change. I have also learnt about the power of social media in the context of the Black Lives Matter movement. It allows everyone in the world to talk about the same thing.

This type of learning is very different from my previous academic approach in my home country, it gives me a deeper understanding of what is going on and encourages me to think, which is a very refreshing experience for me.

When people talk about Nike, they have to talk about Michael Jordan, it's an equalizing combination.(Hoechsmann, 2001)

As a black athlete, Jordan's achievements in the basketball field are unmatched, which naturally led to the development of Nike.Nike's Air Jordan still dominates the sneaker market to this day. Last year sales exceeded $5 billion (£4.4 billion) for the first time, earning Michael Jordan, who retired in 2003, $150 million (£121 million) - almost double the $86.7 million (£70 million) he amassed during his entire NBA career.(Davis, 2023)

At the same time, Jordan as a cultural symbol, but also in the attract more people to buy nike, naturally nike more need to protect this symbol, they want to eliminate all things that are not conducive to Michael, which is like racism.

This protection is comprehensive, nike relies on black culture and naturally needs to feed the black community, they will launch black month events, and black women's pride events.

Such an event would show the public that nike cares about social responsibility. Of course, there are those who would argue that this is a business strategy. I think that's part of it. Nike needs to maintain its brand value, and its brand value is dependent on black athletes. It's a necessity.

The public art I researched over the weekend was called, "To Touch".and in the description of its work it says

“Welcome to the neighborhood. The neighborhood is a poem.Poems are traditionally intimate, two-dimension entities that create a single channel from author to reader.”(Exhibition, 2015)

I think it tries to explore the distance between people.

Of course, I've learnt that it's not the public art that surrounds me, on the contrary, it's the public art that's not so common for me. In my city, we don't present social issues as art.But I think it's a matter of cultural differences.

In contrast, Patagonia is more directly involved in social and environmental issues. The company's marketing goes beyond product promotion to actively advocate for environmental protection, sustainable practices, and social justice, and Patagonia's product development often addresses climate change by encouraging consumers to think not just about their consumption, but also about the impact of their choices on the climate.

Patagonia, on the other hand, is radical in its approach . Focusing on brand sustainability and production ethics.Patagonia has succeeded in building a brand that represents more than just a product; it represents a lifestyle and a commitment to making a positive impact on the planet.(O’Rourke, ).

However, we still had some problems with the presentation. I was in charge of the data section, and because of some internet problems, I couldn't log in to the questionnaire website. So my data was not complete, but luckily I still had time to finish it. I wish my internet was better so I could find the data on some websites.

In the end, I have to compliment my two team members, they did a great job, they made a very good beginning and ending, which made my task a lot easier. If I had done a good job too, then we would have had a great presentation!
