The anime, Attack On Titan, follows the story of a boy named Eren Yeager and his friends. All of human life was believed to be living inside of enormous walls protecting people from giant man-eating humanoid monsters called Titans. Eren more than anyone wanted to explore the world beyond the walls. He wanted freedom for all those he loved and cared for, regardless of what that meant for him. This anime ended recently, on November 5th, 2023. It is the greatest piece of fiction I've ever seen.

On July 24th, 2011, Hunter x Hunter was rebooted and has grown to be one of the largest, most popular animes. A boy named Gon is the main character of this story. He strives to become a hunter, an elite individual who is allowed to pursue rare creatures, uncover treasure, and take on various challenges. Most importantly, he strives to become a hunter to find his father. Hunters are people who have trained extensively and have begun to control their "nen powers" - special abilities.

The success of AOT greatly contributed to the growing popularity of anime outside of Japan during the 2010s. Its action scenes, top-tier animation, and unique storyline caught the attention of people who considered anime for "losers" and "weebs". I have yet, to this day, meet a person who has watched AOT and disliked it. AOT changed many people's perspectives of anime.

Demon Slayers' characters became cultural icons and even had an influence on fashion trends and tons of merchandise.
