As I waited for my friends in the church parking lot, I closed my eyes, tilted my face to the warm sun and could smell the fresh, approaching season that transitions us from brutal cold to carefree summer daze. I thought about the butterfly garden I want to build in the backyard. I pictured surrounded by thankful beauties, floating near me. A light breeze brushed against my face and I slowly opened my eyes. Dancing delicately all around me? Leaves that came alive after a long winter's rest. Each leaf bobbed and floated to the same rhythm. One by one, each leaf transformed into a beautiful butterfly. Together the dipped, bounced and curtsied in the vast ballroom before me.

The amazing beach house has a pool with a porch right above it as you can see the majestic ocean. In addition to the pool and the porch the house has a basketball hoop just like my backyard.

That’s what I imagine when I look at my pond. Hopefully I don’t have to imagine when I look outside soon.

I use to always climb up the tree I was going to put in at tree house but I decided to not. The tree has a medium size circle around it and I has white bark.

The dirt is also muddy and all I can hear is the sound of birds chirping all around. a few cars are driving down the hill. I see the leaves growing back on the trees as. Outside is silent unlike before it was full of kids playing having a blast with friends, friends till the end.

The sky is white, white as it can be like all of the snow that used to be here but know it’s gone. But summer hooray but we are locked because of this deadly disease people think it’s like the flu but it’s worse, but all we can do is isolate ourselves from spreading the disease but hey nature is beautiful take the moment and listen to the sounds of the birds chirp and listen to the beauty of nature and we want it to last so we must take care of our planet as much as we can so listen to me. We don’t live forever so make it count.

I see the birds in the trees chirping as the white clouds are here just like yesterday but the trees are moving slightly around while I hear chimes blowing around the wind. The clouds look like they are gonna clear up in a few hours or so. I hear crows and flying in the sky but besides that outside has been quiet as ever can be. The wind blowing. I see deers running around in the forest with their younglings probably looking for food. The clouds are starting to clear up and I see cars driving around, bigger trees blowing around, the grass is green as much as it can be and wood chips and the light post turned off. Some clouds are getting darker than usual so it might be rain later.Pollinated plants-1.lavender2.lilac3.phlox

The shape of it is also quite strange,it comes up on three sides and has a triangle shape on the middle. The three sides coming up are a tan granite color. While the triangle is more of a smooth grey. On one of the sides there is a long indent making the shape of a bird spreading its wings. The other sides are more simple, although one has a crack shaped like a horizon line that you’d see in a piece of artwork.

Low pitch goes to high pitch by the same frog. The rumbling croak sounds like medeep!! A high pitched croak tops all of the other frogs. A duck flies in. The frogs were not happy to see the duck. I think? Because a rumbling roar starts to happen. A choir of frogs loud enough to be a band scares the duck away. Leaves roll over with great excitement. As I walk away quietness comes to my ears again. But I could still here them in my room happy as they could be. bye! 🐸

Today I am going to be observing my swing set. At first glance, I see that there is a slide, swings, a platform, a ladder, and lot’s of beams. There is a lot of colors on here, ranging from blues and yellows, to grays and browns. This swing set is about 10 to 15 years used, so there is a lot of “outside stuff” on it, like moss and spiderwebs. The parts that are the roughest are the underside, and the legs of it. The parts that get used a lot are the swings and the slide, so they get kind of dirty, but they’re also smooth, I don’t know why. The swings are 3 different heights, be s is there are 3 kids in our family. The tallest is mine, the next is my sister Emma’s, and the last is my sister June’s. That concludes my nature journal for today.

Pond= doesn’t move, it’s a small pond and surrounding it are cat tails and grass that looks like hay. It reminds me of the time I fell in a lake at my old house. The pond has cat tails surrounding it. One time I brought home 3 of them and started taking them apart. Little did I know my brother was allergic but I didn’t know that. So I was throwing the fuzz and my brother started to sneeze. His face got red and he had to go inside. Then I had to clean up all the fuzz and I can’t touch the cat tails anymore. Also behinds the pond is a forest. That little pond is where I learned how to skate.

I observed that it wasn’t very bright, (duh it’s a bug, clearly it’s not the only one who’s not very bright) because it had camouflaging in brown and tan coloration, that would work quite well on a tree, or dead leaf. But no, it was just grasping on to our WHITE house, being clearly seen by anything with eyes.

This moth reminded me of this villain called Killer Moth from a cartoon I used to watch called “Teen Titans Go!”

Maybe it was just the melted

snow, maybe it’s just supposed to be like how it was. But why did the patch felt like

wet rubber. I understand that it just snowed. So that’s why it’s wet but why does it

feel like rubber. Nature is strange.

I scratched it by accident while feeling it. When I pulled my hand back, there was

green leaf stuff in my finger nail. What? I washed my hands to get that stuff out of

my nail when I went inside.

I wrote about the little pond in my backyard I felt the pond it was cold and dirty. It didn’t move by itself but the wind made it kind of... like when you blow across the top of your glass of water, I can’t think of the right word sorry. The pond was surrounded by dead grass that looked like hay... sort of. There were cat tails and little trees they looked more like thin branches that were 3 feet long and had been stuck into the ground. The pond was dirty and it had some left over ice still melting from winter. And while I was observing it urged me to write a little poem kind of thing about it so here it is. Fall came back and just like that it turned into winter. Winter said “oh please oh please I beg you pond to freeze”. Pond did so as he was told he froze and froze and froze. Then came spring leaping in the wind. He said to pond “oh melt oh melt, until you’ve dealt with all that ice within”

It feels like it just rained. The dirt is kind of wet then again it usually is. The rocks have a kind of shine to them and are wet. And the air smells moist. There are a lot of birds chirping. I’ve heard at least three different calls and I haven’t been sitting here that long. I always here more birds after it rains but that hat might just be me. For some reason after it rains the air has this kind of wet heavy feeling and sent and it feels like that now so to me feels like it has rained. It probably didn’t.

The picture I took is my moms flower garden. So far there are no flowers in it but we are going to plant some in the future. What we are going to plant are flowers called Lily’s they can come in different colors like pink, orange, red, and white, and yellow those are the colors they come in.
We are also going to plant hostas. Hostas look like a bush with a purple little flower. And another flower is Day Lily’s they look like a yellow flower and a long green stem and some thing that looks like a bush with long grass.
We are going to plant them when the ground won’t freeze at night so they wont die right a way and we will get to enjoy looking at them. Another story about the picture is that there was a bees nest like right next to it. So last year when my mom was planting she got stung I think 9 or 10 times I don’t know if my mom killed the bees nest after or if they got killed over winter. I do t know :/.
We also have to get rid of the weeds growing in there soon because we want to plant as soon as we can.

THE END

You flip over the squarish rock. You see a big crater able to hold something like a necklace or some candy pieces. You feel around the perimeter: sharp and jagged as your finger rolls down in big circles like spirals. You are no longer at the edge. Your finger is safe from getting cut. This rock reminds me of a shallow bowl, that you buy for baking to get a perfect pinch of salt. My favorite is the USA bird house. I think there’s about 12 of them lined up along the fence. I painted most of them. But it was a family effort. Although no bird actually go in there. I think some with make themselves at home this summer because we put them up for the first time this winter.

Ive been keeping track of the days this has been happening this week: Monday, Wednesday ,and Friday. I’ve noticed it glares through around 7:30 if it ends up glaring through my window. The only mornings it hasn’t happened have been very gloomy. If I angle my head just right the sun seems to grow. This is a very nice natural alarm though. I still don’t know how I feel about it shining directly in my eyes every morning.

It doesn’t move, feels cold. Its white and sparkly. I didn’t want it to snow since it’s spring and the snow had only just melted away but I guess it is pretty. It starts to melt if you hold it in your hands for a while and it smells like air and frozen water. I like the smell because it reminds me of going outside on a cool spring morning and breathing in the fresh air, but instead of feeling like spring, like it’s supposed to... it feels like winter. Also when you squeeze it together into a ball it becomes hard and has the consistency of shredded ice- perfect for building a snowman or having a snowball fight although I think it would kind of hurt if you got hit by one.

It also has different colors. Bits of blue, grey and even little bits of crystal! There is even some gold bits. I reminds me of when my family and I took a trip to a beach resort called grand view. We got to go banana boating-the wavy part of the rock making the ripples-along with the color, make it look like the waves. And the gold and sparkly bits look like sand.

Guess what I found today... I found some tall grass starting to grow! I briefly touched it and it was sharp for grass. Not sharp enough to cut my hand, but sharper than typical Minnesota grass. It’s “spikes” (that’s what I will call them) are full of many hues of greens. Army greens, lime greens, stop light greens, my eye color greens, and evergreen green—Does evergreen green make sense??? what did it smell like? I don’t know, I couldn’t smell anything over the wetness of the Earth. The only senses I could use were Sight and Touch. (Can I really use taste? I’m not tasting that thing. Gross.) But what really shocked me about that sharp spiked grass was: it was half dead. I have a picture below. Tell me, it’s not half dead. Half of it is all the shades of green, I mentioned earlier and the other half is the color of dead plants or if I don’t use the word dead, it’s the color of wheat.

The green is lighter towards where the flower will be and darker a the root. They are still buds so you cant see the flowers yet, but the usually are reds and yellows once they bloom. The buds have 2 long leaves coming out from the stem ( the leaves are green too.) the stem feels kinda rough and its really weird to touch. They are in the very front of our yard. Some by our mailbox and some by the big rock we have at the edge of our driveway.

I think of that because right before the game my mom gave me a Seahawks jersey and my brother a Packers jersey. I still remember that game because it was one of the best comebacks in history of football for the Seahawks. They were down 28:3 in the fourth quarter. Then they faked a field goal and got a touchdown. After that it was just downhill for the packers. That’s what I imagine when I examine outside.

Sap is supposed to be sticky — and a sort of thick liquid. This sap is hard and doesn’t move: When I touched it I didn’t have any sap on my fingers. The sap is hanging of the tree because the tree is at an angle which might be why it is hard but I don’t know for sure. Because the tree is at an angle the sap should be dripping to the ground or something like that but it isn’t: Instead it is holding its shape. I don’t know exactly why it is like this but it is pretty interesting.

Story about the tree: The picture I took is of our only tree in are yard.Right now it has snow on it. In the summer I like to climb it. One time before it snowed I was climbing it and I laid back on a branch and one minute later there were two bugs on me, and some lady bugs where near me to. I don’t know what kinds of bugs where on me but they where orange and black. That tree also has some blood on it from when it was winter. My sister and I , and her friend where playing Marco- Polo. I hid behind the tree and my sister came running after me and kaboom!!She ran into the tree and she went inside and I fallowed and when I got inside there was blood everywhere, and we wondered if she broke her nose. I am happy she didn’t , that was a bad story about that tree. Also a good story is in the summer we like to hang a bird house, and a little bunny on a swing (not real bunny). Last year on Christmas my dad likes to go all out with the Christmas lights and it looks really really good he also dose one of the pine trees in the back.
What the tree is like : When I looked at the tree up close the branches where frozen, and thick. There were parts of the tree that felt sticky from the sap. Some parts felt sharp. When I looked close I could not see any buds or leafs on the tree. Snow hung on some parts of the tree. When I felt the tree some parts were smooth and some were rough.

THE END
