Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy are close friends that have strong trust in each other. Even though they have contrasting personalities, they stand by each other throughout the story. Their relationship is also complex in that Mr. Bingley, being very easily influenced, often allows Mr. Darcy to manipulate him. For example, Mr. Darcy plays a large role in convincing Mr. Bingley to end his relationship with Jane.

Jane and Mr. Bingley- Simon and Jack

They are immediately attracted to each other, and spend a lot of time together. However, Mr. Darcy and Miss Bingley take advantage of Mr. Bingley's pliability and are able to separate the two for a considerable portion of the book, until Mr. Bingley comes back and proposes to Jane.
The key phrase to describe their relationship is misunderstanding. Jane does not understand why Mr. Bingley leaves for London and is not able to see her when she visits. Mr. Bingley does not understand Jane's feelings for him, which delays his visit back to the Bennet estate. However, both parties end up resolving these issues and end up marrying each other.

2) While Elizabeth prioritizes love, Charlotte is a woman that settles for stability. Although they are close friends, Elizabeth feels betrayed by her understanding of Charlotte when her decision to marry Mr. Collins shocks her, however after time Elizabeth accepts her choice.

The relationship between these two characters is mixed up when Mr. Wickham tells Elizabeth about his past with Mr. Darcy. Elizabeth ultimately takes his side, and her expressed hatred towards Mr. Darcy deepens. However, when Mr. Darcy tells her the full truth of their troubled past, and she later finds out that Mr. Wickham ran away with her sister Lydia and threatened her father for money, she feels disgust towards Mr. Wickham.

When they first meet at Hunsford, Lady Catherine views Elizabeth as someone who is beneath her as Mr. Collins' relation. She treats her politely as a guest, but is condescending and patronizing. At Rosings, Lady Catherine "continued her remarks on Elizabeth's performance, mixing with them many instructions on execution and taste" (172), demonstrating that she believes herself to be a role model to Elizabeth who has the right to give her advice. Elizabeth treats Lady Catherine with civility as someone with a higher status than her, although she is not intimidated by Lady Catherine. However, when Lady Catherine hears about Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy's potential marriage, she regards Elizabeth with intense dislike and sees her as an obstacle for her own plans to have Mr. Darcy marry her daughter in a union between the two families. Elizabeth, meanwhile, sees Lady Catherine as an obstacle to her feelings for Mr. Darcy, and believes that she is overstepping her boundaries. Elizabeth tells Lady Catherine that she will act "in that manner, which will, in [her] opinion, constitute [her] own happiness, without reference to [Lady Catherine], or to any person so wholly unconnected with [Elizabeth]" (348).

Jane only wishes to get along with Caroline and she wants Caroline to like her.

2) Overall their relationship can be described as ambivalent, since Jane is outwardly compassionate, while Miss Bingley is sometimes apathetic towards Jane as her main focus is Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy.

Charlotte wanted a stable home and financial security, while Mr. Collins sought a spouse to further elevate his status in the clergy and gain approval from Lady Catherine de Bourgh. Their relationship is pragmatic and harkens back to the objectives of marriage at the time.

Whilst, Lizzy often encourages Jane to examine situations with more nuance than she’d initially do. This dynamic is consistent throughout the story, demonstrating their tight and timeless familial bond.

Throughout the text Jane is valued by others for her beauty and standing within higher society, while Elizabeth is valued for her wit. While Jane is balancing the pressures of higher society Elizabeth often adds insight and reliable advice.

Finally, their relationship turns compassionate as they understand each other's nature, leading to their marriage.

Elizabeth and Darcy's relationship is ironic but sincere in that it changed so much throughout the story but is always based on reasonable evidence available to both characters.
