Things such as rising temperatures and extreme weather are shown to correlate with hunger in developing countries and especially for children in those countries. The intended audience for this article is the government and governmental organizations when the author talks about possible solutions they all require government action. The appeal used in this article is logos, within the article there is lot's of statistics and proven data. This source is valid in contributing to the argument of climate change being the biggest threat to humanity because it uses multiple different ways like ethics, data, and emotion. The source better clarifies because it shows correlation of climate change to food security. The weakness in the source is the fact that there is not a counter for it.

Melting arctic ice, extinction, and loss of biodiversity are all threats of climate change. The intended audience is the public and government workers. This article uses ethos as it uses the credibility of agencies like the UN, so it is an effective source. It is clarifying because it shows how climate change causes other problems as well as being a problem itself. A weakness of this source is they do not have a counter argument and it only outlines the bad. This article is very valid because it has depth and addresses many different issues

Accessed 17 Mar. 2025.

This source points out the Americans concern about climate change. The survey shows data on a graph that is an analysis of public opinion on climate change. The intended audience is the public especially people who are interested in climate change. The rhetorical appeal used in this graph is logos because it relies on line to show trends and has statistics over the years. It was not effective because it heavily relies on only one appeal with minimal context. It defines the topic because it shows how the public feels towards a major threat that the globe is facing. This source is weak because it gives very little and details. It is not useful because it does not go in depth and just gives numbers which is not persuasive.

Accessed 17 Mar. 2025.

This chart shows an upward trend of global warming from the years 1906 to the year 2000 that indicates a warm change in the climate. The intended audience is people who are concerned about global warming. This source use the logos appeal because it uses logic and numbers on a graph to prove the argument. It is effective because the graph shows how many degrees different parts of the earth have risen over almost 100 years. This source helps to clarify the topic by showing a visual. The source has some weakness because the year stops in 2000 when we are currently in the year of 2025. It is a relevant source that helps to contribute to the argument.
