The first chapter of the book is about Kieran's dad's party 2 years before most of the book was set.
Bon' s mum is struggling to take care of him so she is strict. so Bon dosent have any toys.and is not privlaged and is excited to play with Kieran's toys

My first thoughts about Bon was that he was poor and has had a bad childhood and had been teased and bullied and treated badly throughout his life.
