What is design thinking & why does it matter for our course? // How can it be applied to the Brazilian reality?:

• Design thinking solve problems with creativity and with a human-centered mentality. It is important to help us understand how can we be more proactive towards solving the problems proposed in our course. This mentality of focusing on humans before technology settings can be applied if we ever need to ask people questions, we could navigate the questions with empathy.

• Residents of Jardim Novo Horizonte, in the southern zone of São Paulo, collect water from the only available water source in the neighborhood (a community water spout located far from their homes) and carry large water containers (20 liters or more) back home for daily use (bathing, cooking, hygiene etc).
