what is going on - the family is dying. we are detached from death as society. People don't get to experience the process of dying especially what happens after you die. Not a lot of people have experiences with it. This was the families way of coping and educating people on what is going on and how to handle it.

Interesting how they took their own approach to it. Knew how hospice care worked. They were scared of not getting care they wanted. Her knowledge behind palliative care was interesting that she did not take it on, and pass on the way she wanted to. Interesting that they did not want to take it on.

Introverts, crazy dogs, they did not want to disturb visiting nurse, They also knew what good hospice care looked like. They did not want to be frustrated from bad care.

It shows that people in LGBTQ community are scared of not receiving proper care. did not want to seek out hospice care because they were scared of not getting standard of care other people would be getting.
Taking control of their own care and outcomes. Not going with the standard and taking their own approach.

Group 3: We as a society tend to refuse death which makes the dying process that much harder. In this article we see death as a process. We see acceptance of her passing. We also saw that they didn't need to bring in outside help rather they all were deeply involved with her end of life care

The process of dying was not the saddest part. It was their lack of faith in their own field to treat them equally.
