• Articulate a comprehensive understanding of Berlin’s museums as dynamic platforms for interactive learning and engagement;

• Demonstrate the application of experiential learning principles in diverse contexts, using Berlin as a classroom for critical thinking;

• Acquire skills to seamlessly integrate Berlin’s museums into formal settings, enhancing both curricular and extracurricular learning experiences;

• Engage in collaborative activities, gain insights into collaborative efforts between cultural hubs, and develop networking skills with colleagues from Europe;

• Gain insights into sustainable development practices within cultural heritage, applying principles to sustain Erasmus mobilities and implement impactful projects.

There are 22 participants, all coming from very different educational backgrounds: art schools, dance schools, museums, and other cultural institutions. Some are teachers, while others are museum directors or work in the cultural sector.

To break the ice, we began with a collaborative portrait exercise inspired by Picasso. We each wrote our name on a sheet of paper, and then the papers were passed around randomly. Each participant drew one part of another person's face—eyes, nose, mouth, the outline of the head, ears...—without seeing the complete portrait.

The result was a series of surprising, playful, and unique portraits that immediately helped us get to know each other in a creative way.

In my presentation, I introduced my school and talked about two artistic projects that connect education with museums: Mirades Compartides and Arrela't. Both projects use art as a way to build relationships between people, strengthen the connection with the local community, and encourage learning through collaboration with museums and cultural institutions.

This is Juan, a friend I lived with in Iceland several years ago. He kindly showed me around Berlin, sharing places that only a local would know and giving me a first-hand perspective on the city's atmosphere, history, and everyday life.

Our practical assignment was to work in groups of five and design our own museum route around a theme that we had to choose together. My group decided on "Holes and Memory," inspired by the artistic project Forats, which we are currently developing for the Vora Vora project in Olot.

Each member of the group had to select an artwork that evoked a personal memory. I chose an ancient Egyptian sarcophagus because it reminded me of a pond at my grandparents' home. Looking at it made me think about water as the element that connects the living and the dead—a place where memory continues to flow.

One sentence from the museum's audio guide particularly stayed with me: "Eternal life in harmony with the divine sphere." It accompanied the explanation about the goddess of the sky and the world of the dead, and it resonated deeply with my own memories and with the ideas we are exploring through Forats.

There, Anita challenged us to work in groups and create our own structure using the wooden blocks. Once we had finished, each group presented and explained the meaning behind their construction to the rest of the class.

Our group worked on Joseph Beuys' Truth. Viewed from the top of the staircase, the work could also be read as "Hurts", suggesting that truth hurts. It was fascinating to see how the meaning shifted depending on the viewer's perspective.

I was especially impressed by the Joseph Beuys exhibition. It was an honour to experience the fifteen works that Hamburger Bahnhof holds by one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century. Beuys redefined art as a tool for social change, believing that creativity belongs to everyone and that every person has the power to shape society through what he called "social sculpture."

Outside, we experienced the beautiful Fog Sculpture by the Japanese artist Fujiko Nakaya. Her artwork uses real water mist to transform the museum's architecture and changes every minute with the wind and the light.

One of our activities was to think about how the exhibition space changes the meaning of an artwork. The building, the light, and the surroundings are all part of the artistic experience.
