Its illogical and backwards to think ancients had more knowledge than modern day science (human sacrifice, flat earth)
In this article it mention how fasting can help you fight off infections in your body an ancient technique. However we have proof that if your body doesn't get all the required nutrients that your immune system will be weakened and less able to fight off the infection. There are much better modern alternatives like antibiotics and intravenous fore hydration that will help bolster your immune system and get you all the energy your body needs to fight infection.

The scientific word energy is a measurement of somethings ability to perform work. Spiritualists use of the word does not make sense eg. talking about energy fields.
The article I have linked talks about all the various ways these stones will turn your life around. The article talks about how fluorite is good for warding off negative energy when in reality its just the mineral form of calcium fluoride. The stone doesn't heal, for example the article stated obsidian helps a person kick bad habits. However its the persons belief in the stone helping that helps them get over the habit not the stone itself.

Scientific answers are hard to understand pseudoscience is easy
People have a hard time accepting the theory of evolution as it goes directly against what is written in many holy texts (take Adam and Eve for example). If religious groups were to accept the theory which has scientific backing that all life on earth evolved from one common ancestor a huge base of their religion would be thrown under questioning and it is much easier to accept that humans where created and not evolved from early mammals by chance.

We can't explain it yet
Scientists are puzzled as to why certain animals are more prone to cancer then others. There is a direct correlation between cell count and the likenesses of a random cancer mutation occurring (tall people are more likely to get cancer than short people). Than why is it that elephants are a lot less likely to get cancer than humans so are sharks. Leading many people to believe that parts of their body have healing properties as science cannot explain why they are so much less likely to get cancer. Beyond maybe they have a chance mutation that makes them immune that we have not discovered yet.
